Hilma af Klint - an astrological profile

Image
The increasingly recognised Swedish artist Hilma af Klint who died in 1944 was born October 26 1862. This post looks at how her inherent energies -as much as can be known without a full birth chart - are indicative of her body of abstract work. Only a very selective representation of her work is used here for illustration of the theme addressed Though traditionally trained in the fashion of the day - landscapes and portraits af Klint really found her forte in abstraction - drawing heavily upon the symbolism of natural and geometric forms due to both inherent inclinations and exposure to the metaphysical and transcendent philosophies from the late 1800s. In terms of how the known representation of her astrology is consistent with her expressions [actual birthtime not known] af Klint’s birthdate clearly combines all those potentials:  A Scorpio Sun-Mercury conjunction.  Pluto in Taurus Mars in Pisces. Venus Jupiter and Saturn in Libra South Node Uranus in Gemini trine Venus No

Retrograde Planets - key stages in the expanded view

Retrograde Planets - an expanded view Some key considerations The significance and meaning of retrograde planets can be hard to grasp beyond basic expectations of energy that becomes inward focussed periodically within a planet's cycle. This work merges astrology with the astronomical perspective to move beyond data alone to a more visual understanding that helps to further clarify why retrogrades are more important than you may think. To enable some quick tracking and referencing some data tables are included along with visual graphics - as well as a proposal around interpretation and emphasising the concept of opportunity for growth As the 5 outer planets are our best teachers in this regard the work begins with them.  Mars sits beyond Earth and the table and graphic demonstrate the same activation positions as Jupiter to Pluto. Venus is used to exemplify the pattern shared with Mercury. Jupiter to Pluto To capture sequencing - which is meaningful - the table below begins with t

PLANETS ACROSS TIME - graphic views of transits

PLANETS ACROSS TIME As there are a variety of ways of tracking and visualizing planetary movement it is useful to access the least common method which is a linear graphical format. Data sets as in pages of numbers in an ephemeris can obscure by virtue of complexity. This post begins a breakdown of outer planet movements into individual graphic representations -  which are not focused on minutiae- but on giving a broad view of the planet’s activity over time so that: THIS POST WILL BE EXTENDED/UPDATED OVER TIME 4 November added Neptune graphic 6 November added another PLUTO graphic  6 November added a combo graphic for URA NEP PLU 7 November added 2025 as a key year to consider 7 November Edited clarified updated some content Starting with the transit of URANUS: Fr om January 2021 Uranus 7 Taurus The pattern of movement is clear Key transitional points [stations, new sign ingresses] are noted Points in time that are linked [same energy point] are horizontal and underlined.
