JANUARY 3 2026 IS COMPLEX

An accumulation of planetary connections is evident and impactful in the range 12º-22º Cardinal. The Full Moon event is 13 Capricorn-Cancer. Mars Venus and Sun travel closely in synch through Capricorn from Jan 2 -11. Jupiter at 21º-20 Cancer links in more in the latter days Jan 10-11.

This particular Cardinal emphasis extends

 to at least Jan 12

Other than the Cardinal factors - the Saturn Neptune  synergy in Pisces and Uranus in Taurus are connected to the field of the Full Moon. 

13º Cardinal activates 28º Fixed giving a direct line to Uranus near 28º Taurus. This engages Saturn-Neptune with midpoints between 28º-29º Pisces.

Relevance to the passage of comet 3I/ATLAS is apparent in the repeat emphasis on inner solar system planets Venus and Mars - how we relate what we value and how we behave . The Sun carries strong wisdom infused into those planets after the comet and the Sun exchanged a lot of energy late in October 2025.

Capricorn is always about growing up maturing and the fundamental maturing is how we behave and how we treat others. Capricorn is paternal and patriarchal energy. Cancer is maternal and matriarchal. 

These gender identifications and roles are very much in the spotlight due to the Epstein files and what can arise when those roles are defective distorted and damaging towards others.

 

Epstein and Maxwell formed a toxic version of “family” with the children they abused. Both of these “adults” are deeply damaged products of abusive parenting. This generational abuse imprint is a key message about the Epstein scandal.

The whole complex of Cardinal sign expressions Capricorn Cancer - as well as Aries and Libra are evoked under this Full Moon: parental roles family fatherhood motherhood the protective and nurturing responsibilities of those roles - and how much self management is required to be a healthy parent raising healthy children.  So much conscious awareness is needed about the role . All this defies the universal principles of spiritual balance and at some point there has to be a major confrontation. Recognising the aspects of the Epstein world that have relevance to Family is essential if this globally relevant example of defective humanity can serve to usher in change.

The Uranus-Saturn-Neptune connections in the period of this Full Moon  have a significant role in altering our addiction to the physical material and bodily-sensory indulgences humanity has increasingly taken to the level of gluttony -and again Jeffrey Epstein personified physical gluttony in his bodily demands and procurement of sex slaves.  Under the January influences of this Full Moon we are prompted to respond with disgust and to reject all those who feed insatiably on physical desire. Former Prince Andrew is experiencing consequences for  allegations that he too has been a greedy consumer of inappropriate pleasures and material financial gain.

Capricorn is about restraint so Saturn’s transit of Pisces alongside Neptune in Pisces is capable of bringing consequences to those who show a lack of boundaries in their behaviour.

The Capricorn Cancer opposition does strongly contrast gender differences  - often evident through the primary drives  being oppositional - Career and outer world success being a male driven male dominated goal and home and family typically the needs most attractive to women. The pursuit of equality has arguably been very damaging to women who end up carrying a double burden of home family and career if such roles are not shared in suitable balance with their partner.  The consequences for children raised in preschool daycare are problematic for both their family and for society. We have to fix this .

It is likely that significant events of much relevance for families cluster in the period of intensity of this accumulation under the Full Moon.

Such extreme events will be needed by some to understand family and connection and cultivate a new family structure that may be founded in their bloodline - or may not. So many carry childhood wounds through the lifetime and require deficiencies to be healed . This not only the  downside of  being raised by parents who could not function through a well-formed Saturn -the damage is coded into a person’s Chiron as far back as during gestation.

In early January 2026 Chiron in transit is 22º Aries  and will engage primarily with Venus Sun Mars in Capricorn in close sequence around 12th-14th. 

This poses a real confrontation between Me  - self-focussed perspectives and the Capricorn requirementsof those planets - parental responsible guiding nurturing - outward focussed.

This is a challenge for any who have 21º-23º Cardinal factors and who have yet to demonstrate a supportive disposition - whether that is within the family community or towards the collective of humanity as an expression of building a healthy structure.

Comparative studies placing us humans in company with the diversity found across the range of animal species allows finally a conclusion that variability and transition are a normal/natural part of the range of biological potentials.

From an astrological perspective there are many energetic stimuli that could play a role in the assertion of behaviours such as same sex sexuality transgender or transsexuality and any type of rule-breaking or boundary-stretching choices.

This post raises some points of investigation re gender fluidity and transition in the context of a range of behaviours that can be seen as fitting a profile of normality when considering the broader spectrum of human behaviour.

While this is not presented as a long-term study there are factors identified that can explain the type of energy profile [as identified by astrology] that gives a higher potential drive to change from one gender or sex to another -to whatever degree is demanded by those energy drives.

It is clear that the options are latent or blatant - overt or covert - and that some must follow the inner pressures to make a 100% transition -while others - most likely a very high majority in any cultural context that enables diversity of expression - will embody a physical presentation life-long that does not truly match their self perception and inner life.

Addendum April 2024: By 2024 with the upsurge in transitioning both of youth and adult age persons across the Western world in particular it can be seen that powerfully influential forces are funding and benefitting financially from the outflow of this phenomenon.

Multifactorial contributors are always in the mix in such a significant societal event.

One further influence in the bigger picture framework is based in the past life lineage of those currently incarnated. It is worth considering why predominantly males seek to transition. Was their past life lineage repeatedly female and therefore an enduring identity attachment? Or are these men of long lineage who need to experience life from the perspective of being a female in male dominated society? Answers to questions like these are elusive while interesting to ponder.

In the selection of factors regarded as relevant tight angles within 3 degrees seem significant in “forcing” the expression of change to manifest. 

In general I don't place much emphasis on connections that are over 5 degrees apart though wider than 3 degree connections may be apparent in those who feel much less pressure to change.

The Profiler [very endowed with Mutable energy & several relevant factors] while acknowledging gender fluidity & having been primarily drawn towards same sex attractions -sees the potential  - but often unclarified -roles played by chromosome variants, hormonal balance and social conditioning in modifying behavioural choices. 

Most people will never know the primary factors driving their position on the gender fluidity spectrum but astrology can provides insights into factors that acknowledge the psychological  pressures that underlie asserting a particular place on that spectrum.

We are constantly embedded in a complex mix of energies and how those energies impact us or motivate our thoughts, feelings and expressions is dependent too on a complex mix of energies -where we are located, the context or environment in which we find ourselves, the time that the energies are in effect, who we inherently are - what aspects of us can be aroused....

So the available energy at any time - existent and embedded in us - is capable of wearing many different -but related - faces or morphing into variant forms - depending upon the type of and degree of resonance with each individual

Selecting universal themes from the signature of any significant energy event -like an eclipse - involves selecting from a range of related possibilities/probabilities which are consistent with contemporary themes impacting humanity.

In 2017 there is again in the world a widening divide at the same time as a merging together -conflicting and contradictory forces which are creating deep divisions in communities, within nations and in global politics.

Many can detect elements of prior extreme historical periods when brutal and repressive forces led in the worst cases to the outright slaughter of great numbers of people who were depicted as deficient, defective, threatening, impure, unholy - attitudes that are based not in a rational mind but stem from a far more instinctual panic residing in the ancient part of the human brain.

2017 is occurring at a time of expanded social awareness where one sector of humanity is predisposed towards inclusion and so this is some protection against a potential outright contagion of instinctual panic and a return to widespread repression of our species' progression towards greater expression of true humanity.

Sometimes it feels like there is not just one human species but two - at war - with completely different consciousness - and in truth this consciousness difference is real because without love, compassion and inclusion and without embracing an expanded view of human potentials and variations our humanness remains very primitive.

The Pisces solar eclipse of late February 2017 sees compassionate energies from the sun and moon merging in conjunction = a new beginning, elevating for many their capacity to feel empathy and support for others, wanting to help and understand those who are suffering, mistreated, excluded.

Mercury and Neptune also in Pisces at the time of the eclipse add further emphasis to this refining influence..enabling many to resolve to "become a better person".

Along with this surge comes a big dose of "confidence to be different" - from the Mars and Uranus combination in Aries - and with Jupiter in Libra linked in - social confidence, joy and pleasure have certainly been delivered to many by this eclipse.

A colourful and high energy community event supported by thousands of observers, this LGBTI event typifies the spirit of inclusion, diversity, fun, - essentially with the message that being different is actually the underlying human condition - we are all essentially "different" -though for many that difference has been repressed in so many contexts.

ln fact the age of labels must surely be close to ending within this context of the fluidity of identity and of gender and sexual preference being so much spoken of -and when young children are independently self asserting their preferences we truly are living in a new age of expanded social dynamics.
