 Latest: Supermoon end of the month -scroll to end

The first week of August has been particularly Fire prone in those locations and people with a strong resonance to the main prevailing pattern

Leo is Fire energy and until August 23 the month long period starting 23 July is supercharged by the energy of our star, the gargantuan Sun.
But August is not always this fiery.
In 2015 a significant extra surge of solar force occurs at the end of the first week: the around the 6th, 7th and 8th
Mercury, Venus and Jupiter all in close contact in the late degrees of Leo 27-29 degrees bringing about an extra big dose of Leo warmth, heat - a situation with both positive and negative consequences.
Note that the fire energy also includes heatwaves, extra high temperatures, hi-combustibility risk as well as fire itself, particularly with Jupiter in Leo  - [Jupiter in Leo from July 2014-Aug 11 2015] but Mars in Leo will keep up the heat as well from August 9-Sept 25.
But Saturn at 28 Scorpio at the same time means a very difficult opposing and destructive energy is  present.
Mars at 27-29 Cancer is adding more heat.

Already, fire fatalities recorded in New Zealand
California wildfire situation has escalated under prevailing effects.

 [ Cilla Black a personification of the warm Leo style of entertainer, died after a fall, laying for some 5hrs in 31C heat and was dead on discovery. The death by fire energy was already in effect when Cilla died on August 1 of a subarachnoid haemorrhage - a survivable event, but the extreme heat while unconscious put her in a state of hyperthermia, according to the autopsy. The timing of her death is highlighted in that Cilla had multiple factors at 29 degrees and 3 factors in Leo in her birth energy ]


Aggravating the ongoing situation is the relationship of Pluto to the other factors at 27-29 degrees.
Pluto is the partner of Saturn when it comes to destructive capacity. When the two are acting in unison the brutality or ferocity worsens.
In the first week of August Pluto interacts with Saturn, Jupiter, Venus and Mercury
This intense combining is capable of producing highly dramatic, destructive, large scale devastation on an environmental level as is clearly happening in the state of California.
[update August 13: late on August 12  massive explosions at the Chinese port at Tianjin reflect strongly the fire and combustibility themes as well as the large scale destruction indicated by the Pluto-Saturn energies operating through August. Fatalities and multiple injuries reported immediately] 

Multiple connected forces, Saturn prominent on the AC-DC axis, Neptune at the MC all relevant - Neptune reflects the toxic chemicals involved

Economically in August the omens are equally evident as bearing the hallmarks of a wipeout.
Structures collapse, wealth destroyed, assets lost.
Many will find problems getting money owed, debts being unpaid to you, bad financial deals.

This economic theme perpetuates what has already been forecast since June on this blog.

On a personal level, much love is needed to heal the pain others will be suffering due to their loss of people, income and all the implications of such threatening and frightening events.
The first 2 weeks of August for many people have problematical energies around relationships, things going sour, breakups

The whole month of August carries the themes of economic downturn, commodities continuing in freefall, structures destroyed, but also watch a further significant period around 22nd-23rd when the Sun, Moon, Saturn and Pluto all combine to create further examples of the themes in play as outlined in the earlier sections

In New Zealand it is the price of milk powder in the international auction that is starting to cause concern for farmers' incomes. 
Structural change is being considered to halt the decline just as regulatory efforts are being made in China to stem the losses on their stockmarket.

Auckland's real estate bubble may well have just reached its high water mark, with figures released for July showing a $20K median drop. Outside of the largest city of NZ the effect will be delayed short-term. Finance Minister forewarning of the inevitable fall.
China has devalued the yuan twice in 2 days, hoping to stimulate flagging exports out of the country -exports fell by over 8% in July NZ's ANZ Truckometer is a useful economic gauge for NZ & the signs are also pointing down]

 As already forecast in related posts on this site the general economic situation is not likely to improve in August and not in the near future either as the world looks face-on at another significant economic readjustment.

August 17

Around 7pm a pipe bomb carrying 3kg of TNT explosive exploded in central Bangkok Thailand. This continues the fiery and destructive themes forecast throughout August.
The full extent and details of the Tianjin, China explosions of August 12 are still yet to be known but one startling theory points to economic-based tensions between the US and China underlying a warning strike being directed by the US Pentagon  - read the full details

AUGUST SUPERMOON
From August 27 the energy builds and as usual lasts a lunar month, but...
This is no ordinary full moon -the energies are intensified by Supermoon status = the moon is in closer orbit than usual [September full moon will be closest for 2015]
This full moon in the mutable signs Virgo & Pisces activates all forms of transport -these are the channels of movement in our civilization -air, sea and on land, motorised, human powered or whatever -all forms of movement through space, even a push scooter or bicycle - are extra vulnerable for the full lunar month to significant ACCIDENT energy. 
Most affected are people with planets at:
4-6 degrees in mutable signs
19-21 degrees in Cardinal signs.
As usual, not all days are equal hi-risk
August 27-31 take extra care
Luck may be on your side if a transport incident occurs in the first 10 days of September due to the protective effect of Jupiter in the range 4-6 of mutable Virgo.

  Several posts on this site, especially since June 2015, have noted the economic situation facing China.

In one June 2015 report here, this exact issue of commodities freefall was forewarned:

This does not mean the damage will be contained within the 4 month period of 2015. And it does not only refer to an isolated effect restricted to China, but China is significant to the world.
The commodities shock then flows into a 3 year period of inhibited growth [ in terms of produce, production, expansion, development]
After that the real austerity energies are laid in place during a 3 year period until December 2020

1924-1932 has many cycles in common with 2012-2020
Boom preceded bust in the US housing market of the 1920's.
Florida investments started to get bad press by January 1925. By 1926 the bust was clear. 
The downturn energies in play affecting material asset investments like land and real estate kicked in in late 1924 and remained strong until December 1926. 
Then the cycle of inhibited growth began, lasting 3 years, extending just past the big market crash of October 1929.
From December 1929 the austerity energies were embedded - during a period of almost 3 years.
 

In terms of another longer global cycle, in July 2015 we are at the equivalent energy point to April 1932 even though a great global economic depression is yet to unfold.
The period April 1935 to April 1942 has an energy equivalent to
April 2019 to April 2026.
1935 saw bank closures in the US, the dropping of the gold standard, economic depression was obvious. People were forced to changed their relationship with money and materialist values.
This timeline shows the US economy had widespread impact on citizens through the 1930s, only lifting with the US late entry into WW2 and the war economy uplift beginning in 1942.

A longer cycle having a powerfully transformational effect on peoples families and their homes and housing covered the period 1914-1939.
An equivalent energy exists in the period 2008-2025.

In a very globalized world environment in this millennium, the cycles of this era will contain many reflections of the early decades of the 20th century, in many diverse locations -not just China- but will not unfold exactly in the same sequence or with exactly the same outcomes.
What is clear is that globalization does have a relationship to contagion in market forces.
Climate effects are also of great significance with regard to economies: China is very vulnerable to extremes of flooding and drought as noted by authors of the study THE 1920S DROUGHT RECORDED BY TREE RINGS AND HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS IN THE SEMI-ARID AND ARID AREAS
OF NORTHERN CHINA:
"we show that there had been significant growth decline in the 1920s and early 1930s throughout a wide area of northern China. This growth depression is indicative of a severe and sustained drought in the 1920s and early 1930s.
This period coincides with the inhibited growth period noted earlier for the 1920's and so a largely agricultural effect is known to have occurred then.
Sustained drought, crop failures led to disease and widespread famine in 1927-29:

Swarms of locusts added to further losses and misery. Epidemics of disease rampaged uncontrolled. The proverbial perfect storm.
El Nino conditions in 2015 are already pointing to heat and drought with Northern China low on drinking water.

El Nino events relevant to the above study occurred in the periods 1925-1926, 1930-31, 1932-1933, 1939-1940, 1940-1941, 1941-1942.
The strongest event in recent decades was the 1997-98 El Nino.
Weak El Ninos occurred 2004-2007, Moderate in 2009-10.
The return of El Nino for 2015-2016 is potentially strong to very strong & if a run of El Nino years occurs as in 1930-1933 or 1939-1942 then the flow-on economic effect will also be sustained.
