MAUI FIRE OUTBREAK AUGUST 2023

A broadcast documentary I saw in July 2025 reminded me of the apocalyptic scenes experienced by locals living on Maui Island Hawaii in August 2023 when fire and wind transformed their world and their sense of security.The historic resort township Lahaina was most severely affected - as if bombed into oblivion

Having studied extreme weather in depth using astro-analysis I know the same major factors also play a role in severe environmental events.

The Maui event reveals multiple factors with clarity and serves as a case study example as we head into uncharted territory on this planet.

Prior eclipses  April & May 2023 played a major role in pointing to the genesis factors that would create the severe annihilating event and mass fatalities :

It was July 29 when Pluto and the Lunar nodes activated the Cardinal sign energy that corresponds to fire/heat  [Aries] and material structures /objects [Capricorn] as well as imbalance [Libra] due to the stress angle from Pluto.

The May eclipse in fixed signs Taurus and Scorpio evokes the potentials of Leo and Aquarius as well. These signs have potential expression re physical objects money/wealth and their destruction as well as the role of the Sun  [Leo] and the Wind [Aquarius]

The Aug 1 full Moon heightened the energiy of Mars and 14 Virgo has  a sesquisquare angle to the April eclipse.

Uranus gave chaotic power to Mars enabling wind-driven destruction of things and the built landscape.

Mars connecting to the Pisces energy of Saturn and Neptune can explain fuel and chemical explosions as Mars ignites volitile gases and combustible materials.

14º Taurus Jupiter squaring the 14º Leo Sun is a major activator of solar sourced energy and both link back to the May eclipse promising much material destruction -as did the Moon at first quater position 15 Taurus.

Such a complex mix of factors is typical in major events. 

Clear connections are evident in the planetary and prior eclipse positions.

The genesis factors can precede major events by not only weeks but also months if you know where to look

Cardinal and Fixed sign groups are strongly associated with very extreme survivalist and existential  periods and events.

Both these very challenging themes were evoked by the prior eclipses in 2023. Astrologers know that eclipses are not a one-day wonder: they have a long reach within at least the 6 months after they form -but can also overlay the next eclipse pair if triggered by a planetary or other factor

The Maui example is a very strong demonstration of how many factors colluded to create mass destruction. Not all events have such readily detectable traces to follow but the key players in severe environmental events like this are the same as in extreme weather:  outer planets eclipses lunar cycle nodes and Mars is often an aggravator.

The themes considered cannot be disconnected from the backdrop of the Covid pandemic and while that factor and other viral challenges remain sustained under the oceanic weight of Neptune in Pisces [amplified repeatedly by Jupiter's support in 2022] this post looks at other ingredients in the mix.

Act I July 2022

Saturn & Jupiter engage in their classic dynamic (expansion-contraction) late in July (week3) being an exact 8-23 semisquare coinciding with Pluto retro reaching the annual closest alignment [perigee] to Earth & opposite Sun = Capricorn-Cancer 27'22° July 20.

When Pluto [or any outer planet] reaches this location opposite Sun and most aligned with Earth its potency is signified by being the midpoint of the 2 stations and the 2 square locations that occur to the East and West of the opposition location.

In 2022 Pluto goes through the sequence:

• square April 18
• retro station April 29
• opposition July 20
• direct station Oct 8
• square Oct 19

Positional astronomy shows locations but does not track the retrograde [this being an illusion in perspective due to the Earth-based viewpoint.

Accordingly Pluto is shown in natural progression versus the degree positions assigned during retrograde

These big potent processes of Saturn Jupiter and Pluto under these positions point to manifest outcomes - not necessarily immediate - but in hindsight can be seen to be the hidden forces that accumulate towards expression often weeks later in weather or environmental events. Worldly events too can lag while waiting for the recipe to be mixed.

Act II August 2022

Chiron in Aries square Venus in Cancer with reference to Mars & Uranus in Taurus July 31-Aug 1 raises the profiles for money assets possessions homes attachments.
With Taurus involved any or all versions of Taurus from landforms to what we own or have as cash or capital can be expressed in a way consistent with the energy mix of Uranus Mars & the North Node.

This is a potent mix for very energised change upheaval with significant collective [North Node i.e. global implications]

Taurus by reflex to Scorpio is also about the power & security we associate with money & things.

On Aug 1st with Jupiter very close to exact station (locked in at July New Moon) & exact trining Sun the heat & fire energies are very involved.
This can mean hot heads in a big drama or maybe hot magma of spectacular potency.

Taken independently one signature doesn't have big consequences.

It is the confluence of factors in a limited time frame that draw attention.

The signatures laid down at the Aug 12 Full Moon at 19 Aquarius are awakened by the combination approaching 19 Taurus as July ends and August begins:

August Full Moon has Uranus square Sun & Moon.
Detailed analysis is signified (Mercury 12 Virgo) re whatever Pluto is doing to Capricorn at 27 Cap.
Is it political mayhem? A banking crisis? A major infrastructure failure?
Landform collapse from seismic upheaval?
Market meltdown?

Business failures?
At Full Moon the Mars-Neptune combination of earth & water tends to dissolve the earth therefore another weakening is signalled related to any earthy context
Any or all noted ( & relevant ones overlooked) could converge around the energies of the focal period with events both at the approach and entry into August and being sustained or reactivated around August Full Moon.

Saturn's role in August  while retrograde [since June 4]  a square to Mars in Taurus late in week one. Then Saturn is perigee Earth on August 14 and opposition Sun -and like Pluto has been described is then in the midpoint position of the 2 squares and 2 stations. The whole sequence beginning May 15 and running to Nov 11 2022. Mid August is therefore a period highly relevant for Earth and earth dwellers. The fixed signs get a lot of action in the months detailed and with Saturn in Aquarius linked to both Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus  the structure of society and societal responsibilities related to government powers is likely under the microscope and could reflect aid or support packages needed as a result of events unfolding.

The bigger picture points to forces building in July that unfold in August. Then with Uranus in the last 2 weeks of August in slowdown & exact station retro being set to sustain Uranian conditions around Taurean things. This added factor reinforces the potential that the start of August manifestations have extended consequences.

Act III October 2022
Pluto will take up the reins in September - entering slowdown after sesquiquadrate (26-11) the Sun. Then stationary direct & square Sun in October bringing characteristic Plutonic intensity of a Capricornian kind to that month. 

Remember whatever Pluto does in Capricorn currently feeds through to Saturn while in Aquarius - the structure of society able to be transformed for good or ill dependent upon the consciousness of the plutocrats and patriarchs who are able to restructure or annihilate social norms.

A very dynamic period of change & challenge following the Taurean and Capricornian themes looks likely from July in advance of the next eclipses (Scorpio Taurus Oct-Nov)

 I have reviewed in recent weeks work done last year regarding the periods when outer planets are considered perigee Earth. The midpoint positioning of the outer planet in transit suggests the potency of that period when the main aspect is an opposition to the Sun. Potent New Moon August 2019

August 2019 opens with the New Moon where Leo energy & the Sun itself are in charge but not in a peaceful mood.
Environmentally the fire element is aggravated by Uranus and the consequences affect us physically - effects upon the body from literal heat temperature sun exposure and from excess yang stimulants consumed (food) which cause too much internal heat with resulting anger irritation impatience.
The way through with Leo is always through the heart: so love is trying to rise up over "things" under this New Moon. This is a huge issue in relationships and families where there is a poverty of time and the subsequent impact upon quality. Children given things instead of attention suffer significant anxiety.

The risk of the fire element destoying physical things is elevated from late July and at the start of August.

The fire signs under stress activate issues for Leo Aquarius Taurus and Scorpio. Leo is the Royal sign as well as society's "nobility" - the celebrity class" and so some issues in those realms could arise: related to money spending or assets and a sudden change
Gold is the Leo metal and its value is slowly rising. This month could signify a noticeable increase.

The latest status pet is a big cat: lions are the popular choice but this is not good news for lions.
The Aquarian activation is strong in 2019 in terms of protest and collective activism for change - especially re human environmental impacts but also against the power brokers.
Scorpio is power sex and death themes so we will continue to see all of these very prominent.
Taurus is the Earth the soil and it's products and these are under stress from other elements.

The long-term theme of major issues in politics (power abuse) and domestic life (parenting & housing) remain very significant and are very highlighted under this New Moon period.
Transformational change has to occur in every context illuminated by the August New Moon.  The old thinking old tactics and old power hierarchy has to adjust to the new era. Governments globally need to embrace their role of societal management in terms of social benefit or wellbeing instead of operating primarily from balance sheets and running countries as a profit making business. This change in perspective would enable struggling citizens to live less desperate lives.

Tweet updates below show how Uranus in Taurus square Sun-Moon-Venus in Leo at the early August New Moon quickly manifested multiple intense events: protests wild weather geomagnetic storm and a sharp jolt that lowered sharemarkets. The effect of both Uranus and Jupiter stationing on the same day affected Aug 10-13 extra strongly as both energies are prone to loss of control. Saturn played some role in restraining the wild horse Jupiter energies and if it were not in range in the period the indicators of anarchy rebellion and extreme behaviour in people and natural elements would have been more exaggerated..
August 2019 remains a volatile month with the Full Moon coming quickly after the station period of Jupiter and Uranus. The normally beaming combination of Venus in Leo joining the mid-month Full Moon is complicated by Pluto and Uranus. This clearly reflects shifting power dynamics both in personal relationships and in the larger political context. Now the situation in Hong Kong looks even more intense as freedom and control are in a titanic struggle. Global attention focussed on the Hong Kong situation is to some degree a restraint on mainland China due to the impact upon trade relationships in an already threatening situation with the US and where any further sanctions would be unwanted- especially if other global partners adopted a retaliatory response to any human rights abuses by China against protestors in Hong Kong.
The world is watching and there are red alerts at mid month warning against totalitarian behaviour. This conflict had a lot to say about how we resist the clearly documented rise in anti-democratic regimes since the start of this millennium - being a clear reversal of the rise in democracies that arose from the 1970s until the end of that century.

Stormy Ireland: the links between Ophelia & Debbie

Hurricanes Ophelia and Debbie -lashed Ireland decades apart but had specific and easily identifiable energy patterns in common

Both events share commonly found indicators of very volatile atmospheric conditions brought about by specific planetary combinations and positions.

The recent report on wild forces expected for October 2017 anticipated the sheer intensity of effects from natural forces because such patterns have been seen before and can be anticipated again in the future

The recurrent patterns 

• Eclipses precede and create the intense atmospheric conditions required.
• August 1961 had the precursor eclipses for Debbie
• August 2017 had the precursor eclipses for Ophelia
• 27 degree positions funnel Galactic Centre  forces through earth due to the current GC located at 27 degrees
• 1961 = lunar nodes+Jupiter+Uranus all at 27 degrees in September 1961
• 2017 = Jupiter+Uranus at 27 degrees exact opposition on Sept 28 extended the energy patterns of the August 21 total eclipse. Mercury +Mars+Uranus combined forces from October 14 -16 reaching a combined midpoint of 27 degrees.
• The next period Oct 19-20-21-22 then involves Sun+Mars-Uranus combining at still potent 26-28 degrees
• Jupiter and Uranus in close connection -conjunct, opposite and right angles are particularly frequent offenders in major environmental events. In 2017 this includes large scale wildfires and potent hurricanes. In early 2011 it was major quakes and the Japan tsunami. Different energies at different times give clues to the outcome. In 2011 it was Pisces water energy that brought water over land and liquefaction through soil. In 2017 it is fire-air imbalance needing correction. Imbalance is the keyword. Fire and wind out of control with this Aries-Libra positioning of Uranus and Jupiter in opposition.
• Another linked storm event for Ireland was the Feb 12 2014 Storm Darwin. Again Jupiter and Uranus were involved. Again in the effective period of a prior eclipse [especially the Oct 2013 lunar eclipse at 26 Aries.] By Feb 2014 Mars was spot on 26 Libra and the Jupiter-Uranus forces were offset at a right angle in the 10-11 degree range [these positions are in a fixed angular relationship to 25-26 degrees and often planets at 10-12 degrees will be in the mix by their activation of anything at 25-27 degrees [semisquare & sesquiquadrate angles]
• There remained a lot of energetic potency in the atmosphere in the period Feb 8-18 2014.
• Where an energy is earthed is another specialist field but generally nowhere on the planet escapes the disturbed forces when they are very intensified..severity of effects expressed depends on degrees of separation from the focal location so if Ireland is having a hurricane, the other side of the world is likely to get increased wind.

Terror Erupts in Barcelona

The toll of fatalities plus injuries exceeds one hundred in the aftermath of terror-driven attacks in central Barcelona Spain, commencing around 4.50pm local time.

BBC coverage shows the route of the main attack, where a van driven at speed deliberately targeted pedestrians.
A violent and fatal explosion at a house 200kms south of Barcelona on Wednesday evening is believed to be been a related incident.
What is shown by astro-analysis is that as well as a known trigger for extreme behaviour being in effect: from 8am-5pm the time zone of Spain was affected by a solar generated geomagnetic enhancement caused by the particle wind from a solar coronal hole. Such strong increases in magnetic energy have been shown repeatedly to tip people over the edge, inciting to extreme behaviour. 

This extra trigger is in addition to the waxing or building phase of the total solar eclipse due to reach exactitude on Monday 21st August.
This eclipse [New Moon] sun-moon conjunction in Leo and in connection with Uranus in Aries carries a signature of dramatic violence.
Leo is the sign related to solar or sun energy and so activity generated by the sun is extra-strengthened in the time frame of sun in Leo [2017 = July 23-Aug23] giving a dramatic quality to global news
The Sun also made an exact conjunction to the lunar north node late on August 16 [Universal time]
Sun to node conjunctions occur along with significant events with implications for the mass of humanity.
Events* in Spain in addition to the domestic terror attack in Charlottesville US [analysis here ] may fulfil the potentials inherent in this potent eclipse -or there still could be more on offer during eclipse week as Venus and Mars both move into positions that involve their energies in the mix with Uranus and the north node, respectively in the period August 24-28.

Terrorism is designed to generate terror. Most of us will continue to pursue our daily lives but care, precaution and alertness are often necessary habits to develop in those contexts and locations most vulnerable to such merciless acts.

Charlottesville eclipse flashpoint for US & world

August 2017 is an eclipse month -two eclipses in a month known for drama on the world stage and in 2017 the drama is primarily coming out of America, with President Donald Trump the poster boy for the uncontrolled human emotions which are posing significant collective threat.

Eclipse pairs occur close to every 6 months and their energetic impact extends often far longer. So what gets stirred up in the eclipse period has considerable significance.

In assessing the energy mix that is present the ingredients are examined - like looking at a cake recipe - what is put in and combined creates certain distinctive flavours, textures and certain outcomes.

August 2017 with eclipses on the 7th and 21st - and the latter one being the most potent -a total solar eclipse it is clear already to astronomers that the late August event has a visible pathway across mainland America.

The themes of both eclipses, the lunar and solar are repeating the same refrains: they involve the need to resolve major conflicts and to moderate extreme responses.

The implications of the solar eclipse pathway - to observers of esoteric significances - is that America will feature majorly in the themes activated in August 2017 - though the significance for humanity in general is implicit in the solar-lunar cycles that we are continually impacted by.
[ June 1918 was the last similar pathway but it was a whole different cake recipe -the eclipse with multiple factors in Gemini and mutable signs activated saw major train crash in Nashville; a mass poisoning in Chicago]

Drama is the outward expression typically seen when Leo energies are highlighted and reinforced - but the fundamental suffering feeding this disturbance is important to reflect upon.

While the predominant energies of Leo, Pisces and Libra in August can generate the responses of love, compassion, harmony and peace in many people there are powerful opposing impulses involving Pluto, Capricorn and Aries which will be intensely activated in the minds of others - to seek power at all costs, responding with hatred, cold cruelty and brutal repression. Leo at its worst is very ego-driven and will also latch onto a dictatorial urge expressed through Pluto. Leo also belongs to the tribal group of signs [ Leo, Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius] for whom survivalist instincts are extremely strong.

We are not all created equal in our personalities or dispositions. Each of us operates from the frameworks and filters which serve as gateways and methods of comprehension in interpreting the world around us. Each of us sits somewhere along the spectra of response to every issue, every intellectual, every emotional stimulant.

This is why agreement can be so hard to reach beween people who sit at the extreme peripheries and how there is much more hope when people have closer mental/emotional alignment.

With nuclear devastation being risked in the ego battle between President Trump and North Korean President Kim Jong-Un these two men are clearly in the territory of conflict and finding restraint a challenge to their impulses.

Diplomacy seems lost in this era of American politics.

As August proceeded and the eclipse energies strengthened before the solar eclipse American home territory saw events which typify the themes in play: in Charlottesville Virginia on August 12 two very strongly opposing forces met at the Unite the Right Rally and mayhem erupted, emotions running high and physical violence spreading. Within this seething suffering one man decided to allow his impulses full reign. It is incredible than only one person died [albeit with multiple persons injured ] when he used his car as a killing machine into a crowd of anti-racism demonstrators gathered to challenge the extremist and heavily armed neo-Nazi and KKK allegiants there to protest the removal of a beloved Confederate statue of General Robert E Lee. The mood had darkened since the April 2017 proposal to remove the statue to calm racial tensions. 

The opposing sides in the August rally were in some respects indistinguishable in their hatred and violence  of each other according to an on-site New York Times reporter @SherylNYT

No matter what the cause being defended any white self-identified patriot American using the violent fear-inducing methods of fundamentalist terrorists is justifiably defined as a terrorist.

For all of us the pressure is building within to find the balance between impulse and restraint and to find out where we sit along the spectrum of compassion and aggression.

In New Zealand the right wing government has proposed just weeks before the general election to set up a military-style programme to deal with a sector defined as hardened youth criminals. Seen as desperate politics by those in justice and social support networks in an international context, this approach is regarded as doomed to failure.
The opposing values are highly activated in such an issue.
The offending youth are seen as "bad" while the socio-economic drivers of poverty and alienation perpetuated by this long-standing government through the politics of inequality are what government opponents can see as grounds for compassion and as an alarm call to address deep-seated social problems.

Dramatic Eclipses of August: Metiria Turei profile

update: August 9th: within hours of this post Metiria Turei resigned her position as co-leader. Although the event occurred faster than anticipated in this report, strong pressures have been in place for several weeks as indicated by planetary forces in effect. It remains that the late August eclipse will also be a time of challenge for her.

In mid July 2017 Green Party co-leader Metiria Turei opened the hornet’s nest of her personal past in a conscious political act revealed at the party's AGM intended to open the conversation about poverty in New Zealand, specifically how much of a poverty trap the country’s “welfare” system literally is.

Rejection of the messenger has come from a broad swathe of the media, from within her own party, from political adversaries and from the public at large –whilst also firming up support from those who’ve walked in those shoes.

Turei recognised the sacrificial element as a risk in taking this bold and arguably unprecedented step in NZ political discourse. Politicians are more known as masters of the dark arts of denial, deflection, ducking, deceit and the whole messy melange known as dirty politics.

Turei chose to turn that culture on its head and tell the country that over 20 years ago when raising a daughter alone she discovered what a financial struggle it was, leading her to obtain extra undeclared income from flatmates.

Failing to gauge the depth of public animosity towards those whose disabilities – physical, mental or psychological - mean they cannot be part of the mainstream system, Turei and her party had to lock in a firm defence of the essence of the argument: that poverty is an issue in NZ, that people cannot live with any dignity or any hope of escape while the welfare trap is sealed in so tightly by government policy of absolute minimal weekly maintenance for those who qualify for state support, coupled with minimal investment in assisting people to improve their capacity to move beyond that support.

So why did an apparently humanitarian gesture from an advocate of the social justice wing of the Greens go so terribly wrong, rejected by the minds of so many?


An Astrological Assessment

A partial view is offered by comparing the energy on the day Metiria was born in February 1970 with the energy in effect in the late July-August period in 2017.

Without a time and place of birth the standard full picture is unavailable in this process but when something big erupts - an earthquake, a plane crash, a meltdown, a crisis - there are multiple signifiers able to give some clues.

Firstly August itself is the drama month. The Sun has a more potent energy in the late July-late August period. 

It’s not solar radiance/sunlight, it’s not visible, its an energy that promotes intense reactions and fundamentally drama on account of human responses to the strong energy – though for those who have the good side triggered its very warm and loving vibes.

August 2017 has two eclipses 

Paired eclipses –solar and lunar happen at least twice a year. This year they are in the drama month and so the intensity is raised and when the Leo tribe [which includes Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius -and Metiria has all four of these energies] is under attack the most basic survival instincts are aroused…fight to the end or the death

Eclipses that directly impact an individual will occur at or in very close proximity in actual position to one or more factors present at birth. These factors –primarily the positions held by planets – occur at specific degree points so it is readily obvious to see if there is any current influence that sends a tuning fork response back to the birth energy of a person.

The first eclipse of August was early on Tuesday the 8th at 15 Leo-Aquarius [ Leo Sun, Aquarius Moon making it a full moon lunar eclipse.

The Moon in Aries on the day of the Greens AGM [16 July] activated her Mars and her fighting spirit was triggered more intensely by this eclipse. This confirms that her ongoing anger/frustration at government social policy needed to be called to account. And that time arose.

Metiria was born with a warrior energy [Mars at 14 Aries] supplementing her renegade spirit intent on social justice [Sun in Aquarius] She has lived her life according to these prime motivators.

She has the benefit of a deep thinking, analytical and insightful mind [Pluto in Virgo blended with Mercury in Capricorn ]

She believes in friends, networks, communities and working together for shared social cohesion [Sun and Venus in Aquarius]

A compassionate philosophy underlies her thinking [ Neptune in Sagittarius ]

She is prepared to martyr herself or make great personal sacrifice for the larger benefit of the collective of humanity [ North lunar node in Pisces ]

Her fighting spirit kicks in when threats to personal survival arise [Mars in Aries, Moon in Taurus, Saturn in Taurus ]

Loose boundaries and bending the rules are also natural traits of those with strong Pisces and Aquarius energy and these qualities are always personal risk factors when such people have to be curtailed by any strict system or conditions – like a river bypassing a blockage or an animal confined to a yard.

The second eclipse – August 21st - is a total solar –involving a New Moon in Leo [spanning the whole US continent in its area of visible totality –so watch the drama building there as pathways of eclipses are very important]

This eclipse effectively at 29 Leo will activate all birth energies very strongly which are in the range 28 & 29 Leo and 0 Virgo.

Metiria was born with Venus and Mercury at 28 and 29 degree positions so both will be strongly triggered continually by the building eclipse which has the potency of change energy driving it all through August [Uranus at 28 Aries ]

By week’s end –Thurs-Fri 24-25 August when Venus reaches 28 degrees and with the lunar node at 24 Leo maintaining for a month its exact opposition to her birth Sun chances are high that listening to her heart, abandoning ego, putting family before public life could see Metiria let go of her co-leadership of the Green Party, the battle relinquished, the larger picture embraced.

Such an act would thoroughly complete the sacrificial element for the benefit of the larger good [ the influence of Neptune in transit conjunct her Pisces north node ]

With Mercury in Capricorn Metiria would definitely feel a sense of responsibility and an urge to do the right thing -offsetting the looser elements of her personality.

What? Finally some Love?

The August 2016 full moon in Leo -Aquarius has an entourage which sets a pleasant range of scenarios in the relating arenas

Leo is the time of year when the Sun is very strongly expressed - the solar essence - the unseen force of the sun. Anyone resonating positively with this Leo warmth is likely to be extra entertaining, romantic and enjoying being the center of someone's universe.
             

Leo is the sign related to -sun, lions & all in the cat family, the heart...
When a full moon emphasises Leo and its opposite polarity, Aquarius there are two kinds of relating being contemplated: the romantic and the friendship - so some people will be weighing up this comparison, asking should we just be friends? is this person now my love interest? Can we be friendly lovers? These questions highlight the differences: is this a dynamic that is intense and exclusive? or do we want more space, a more casual, random thing that has sex as an option? Leo wants the former, Aquarius wants the latter.

August 2016 sees other factors involved 

and these are likely to arise as the Moon enlarges, in the waxing phase, before full moon on the 18th.

Uranus is the quirky energy related to Aquarius - but it is moving through Mars' sign Aries in 2016.

And the more aggravated potentials of the full moon of August 2016 are likely to unfold after the fullness - around the 23rd-24th with the connectivity of Mars, Saturn, Uranus [Mars-Saturn conjunct in Sagittarius, semisquare Uranus in Aries] following the Aries Moon -emotionally fuelling destructive violence that has its basis in fundamentalist faith or beliefs. This upsurge can occur in many contexts and locations -it's all about a belief that others who do not follow your ideas need to be destroyed.

 Latest: Supermoon end of the month -scroll to end

The first week of August has been particularly Fire prone in those locations and people with a strong resonance to the main prevailing pattern

Leo is Fire energy and until August 23 the month long period starting 23 July is supercharged by the energy of our star, the gargantuan Sun.
But August is not always this fiery.
In 2015 a significant extra surge of solar force occurs at the end of the first week: the around the 6th, 7th and 8th
Mercury, Venus and Jupiter all in close contact in the late degrees of Leo 27-29 degrees bringing about an extra big dose of Leo warmth, heat - a situation with both positive and negative consequences.
Note that the fire energy also includes heatwaves, extra high temperatures, hi-combustibility risk as well as fire itself, particularly with Jupiter in Leo  - [Jupiter in Leo from July 2014-Aug 11 2015] but Mars in Leo will keep up the heat as well from August 9-Sept 25.
But Saturn at 28 Scorpio at the same time means a very difficult opposing and destructive energy is  present.
Mars at 27-29 Cancer is adding more heat.

Already, fire fatalities recorded in New Zealand
California wildfire situation has escalated under prevailing effects.

 [ Cilla Black a personification of the warm Leo style of entertainer, died after a fall, laying for some 5hrs in 31C heat and was dead on discovery. The death by fire energy was already in effect when Cilla died on August 1 of a subarachnoid haemorrhage - a survivable event, but the extreme heat while unconscious put her in a state of hyperthermia, according to the autopsy. The timing of her death is highlighted in that Cilla had multiple factors at 29 degrees and 3 factors in Leo in her birth energy ]


Aggravating the ongoing situation is the relationship of Pluto to the other factors at 27-29 degrees.
Pluto is the partner of Saturn when it comes to destructive capacity. When the two are acting in unison the brutality or ferocity worsens.

This intense combining is capable of producing highly dramatic, destructive, large scale devastation on an environmental level as is clearly happening in the state of California.

Economically in August the omens are equally evident as bearing the hallmarks of a wipeout.

On a personal level, much love is needed to heal the pain others will be suffering due to their loss of people, income and all the implications of such threatening and frightening events.

The whole month of August carries the themes of economic downturn, commodities continuing in freefall, structures destroyed, but also watch a further significant period around 22nd-23rd when the Sun, Moon, Saturn and Pluto all combine to create further examples of the themes in play as outlined in the earlier sections

August 17

Around 7pm a pipe bomb carrying 3kg of TNT explosive exploded in central Bangkok Thailand. This continues the fiery and destructive themes forecast throughout August.
