Indonesia, Mexico, NZ quakes April 11-12 2012

Using solar modelling techniques, astrophysicist Piers Corbyn applies his theories to earth events.
His methodology, anticipating the high risk of a very strong northern hemisphere quake in this current time frame at the tail end of Easter 2012, partly involves the massive vertical earth facing coronal hole that has been crossing the solar disc this week

GEONET New Zealand's seismic network notices the quake

 A direct earth facing coronal hole sends a stream of solar charged particles in the direction of earth and the effect of this type of event is theorized as generating seismic unrest on our planet. Northern aurora have been noted in this time frame, despite the geomagnetic estimates being predominantly at very low levels during April ( mainly below G3 level) Aurora occur when the solar wind is able to enter earth's magnetic environment during the IMF  [Interplanetary Magnetic Field from the sun] negative phase. This has occurred in several periods of hours during  April 9. April 10 and April 11.
Piers Corbyn's method involves more considerations, including the speed of the solar wind, but he does not tend to elaborate in depth on the full details of his solar-earth forecasting.

This build up phase to the Sumatra region seafloor quakes can be seen to also involve the maximum south declination of the Moon [ exact on April 10] There are many who consider the extreme points of the Moon in high north, south or equatorial declination, to be trigger points for earthquakes.

National Geographic points to unusual factors resulting in no appreciable tsunami compared to December 2004 - the present situation involving slip strike events, a lesser magnitude than 2004 plus being intraplate - around 150kms from the nearest subduction zone -where the risks are much greater regarding tsunami due to megathrust effects.
We are also just outside of the usual window of influence of a strong lunation event -the first Supermoon of 2012 occurred on April 6 UT, but the strong gravitational effects of a closer lunar passage to earth than usual are logically factored in as well. From an astrological perspective, the usual suspects are not in extreme contention currently, though one of the main protagonists, Pluto in Capricorn has just reached it's retrograde station. The combined keywords of Pluto (transformation) and Capricorn (structure) are equally applicable to the earth, its constituents and all material form, as to the systems humans have created - and now face radical change. Soon we will see an intensification of Pluto's capacities with Uranus in Aries gaining in pace, to reach its first exact 90 degree standoff with Pluto - in June 2012. Events will build as this tightening angle closes.

Further strong quake activity has occurred with the HSS high speed stream from the coronal hole impacting earth's magnetic environment.
This compiled graphic shows the rising magnetic reading [orange bars] which began around 18:00hrs UT on April 12, building to storm level [red] for the first 6hrs on April 13 UT [universal time] further level 4 activity occurred until the initial hours of April 14  .The solar wind speed rose to 600kms/sec and being consistently south pointing,  was magnetically plugged into the local environment

M8 seafloor quake at the plate boundary angle between Solomon Islands and Vanuatu sets off a barrage of big aftershocks

Latitude 10-11S and longitude 165-66 affected

Damaging tsunami effects in the focal region but no reports so far of extended tsunami effects.

Google Earth shows initial events, of which there were 27 (M4.9-M6.6) in the first 6 hours

Including here, due to potential regional impact, events in Indonesia, specifically today a M7.3 quake off Banda Aceh Sumatra, which was a strike slip, horizontal event and therefore less capable of tsunami generation. Ongoing quake unrest offshore from Christchurch New Zealand increases the reputation of this south Pacific zone. Westwards movement of the Pacific plate and uplift of the Australian plate could be showing a stress point in the Christchurch zone of NZ.

PLATE BOUNDARY n/e of NZ

UK university researchers have been paying a lot of attention to the Tonga Trench, said to be the most seismically active zone on the planet -and the second deepest ocean zone, which like in the more northern and deeper -in fact earth's deepest - the Mariana Trench at around 12N of the equator features a chain of undersea volcanoes which are on a path westwards, subducting under the adjacent tectonic plate and both regions are showing the descent of the volcanic mounds into the trench below. Fascinating stuff, but also rather scary, in that this amount of activity and the research being applied, indicates that the global scientific community is very aware of the fragile era of tectonic upheaval facing many areas of the globe. Long overdue readjustments are on the cards -and the influence of planetary stress factors  - especially at the moment the cycle phase of Pluto and Uranus - in the larger scheme of things indicates that in our lifetime there is cause for concern.

Japan of course has had its wake-up call in 2011 - as has New Zealand since September 2010 and with the seismic factors considered both countries remain in the at risk category for further destructive events. Of course the South Pacific island nations including Samoa, Fiji and Tonga are living in very vulnerable region.

New Zealand is clearly at the mercy of the westwards subduction, with the Tonga Trench extending down to the Kermadec Trench and then to NZ's North Island East Cape

Clearly the plate boundary is very active

The South Island of NZ is positioned on top of the Pacific plate boundary with the Australian plate and this convergence created the Southern Alps. Of NZ's four main cities, only 2 - Auckland the northern economic hub and Dunedin, in the much quieter deep south, are distanced from the boundary itself.


New Zealand authorities are showing a sudden significant response to earthquake hazards, some 10 months after the destructive Christchurch quake in February 2011.  A string of public buildings have been closed in recent weeks across the country due to being designated as earthquake prone. Many are heritage or tend to be older unreinforced masonry constructions.

It could be assumed from this increased sense of public protection, that the authorities in New Zealand have ben very clearly advised of ongoing hazards being anticipated from the seismic vulnerability of New Zealand.

To the left at 5.15 am local time for Medan Sumatra sits the AC rising in Pisces 27 degrees 13. Sitting right on this point is the glyph for Uranus at 27 degrees 44. With the main structure of this chart having the prime meridian at 27 degrees 43, Uranus is the primary driver of the local energies manifesting as a significant earthquake here. ( Any reference on the role Uranus plays on physical structures will place earthquakes and electro-magnetism at the top of the list) In April-May as Saturn makes a retrograde pass to exactly oppose Uranus, an intense destructive pressure discharges on physical/material structures ( i.e earth, things,people). WHERE the forces discharge depends on local energetic resonance. Currently Baja, Sumatra showing this resonance.

So this Uranus-Saturn element is an added factor to build into the complex picture of what I regard as space weather involving a chain reaction of already known players and the role played by planet X
