Heatwave conditions and associated fire hazards are surfacing in early October 2015 news
but extremes in the natural forces are also delivering flood and drought

Parts of New Zealand, Australia and South Africa all in early Spring 2015 in the Southern Hemisphere are experiencing unusual high temperatures in some regions.

In the US:

Right now in South Carolina, floodwaters from an epic and unprecedented deluge over the weekend [October3-4] are coursing their way southeastward, propelled by gravity, through complex networks of creeks, rivers, lakes and streams. Along the way, the bulge of water has breached at least 18 dams, while threatening many more, and the flood woes of the Palmetto State show no sign of abating for the next few weeks. -full report

Southern Hemisphere extreme conditions well before summer are presenting significant fire risk in already dry rural areas -with homes lost due to multiple fires across the Canterbury and Otago regions of NZ's South Island.

 Prior to the modern era, El Nino events occurred in the periods 1925-1926, 1930-31, 1932-1933, 1939-1940, 1940-1941, 1941-1942.

The strongest event in recent decades was the 1997-98 El Nino.
Weak El Ninos occurred 2004-2007, Moderate in 2009-10.
The return of El Nino for 2015-2016 is potentially strong to very strong & if a run of El Nino years occurs as in 1930-1933 or 1939-1942 then the flow on economic effect will also be sustained.

Planetary indicators have been observed for millennia in order to understand the natural elements -fire, earth, air and water.

Everything in existence is subject to the balance or imbalance of these environmental factors

Eclipses and very strong solar-lunar events can aggravate heat conditions.

A precedent event

September 28 2015 full moon total solar eclipse -at closest perigee for 2015 = Supermoon - in the fire indicator Aries.

This will aggravate prevailing conditions.

Eclipses set in place conditions for at least 6 months -until the next full moon or new moon eclipse

Not surprising that a lot of heat is in the atmosphere, hot winds, dry conditions

But the full eclipse pattern included the flood indicators as well, strongly in effect from mid Sept 2015 and flowing into October.
Consistent with a scenario of sustained El Nino conditions, the outlook is concerning:

September 2015-December 2016 a year of very noticeable extreme conditions involving too much or too little water.

These are globally relevant patterns and likely to affect many locations but not all.

Regional vulnerability is likely to already to be evident.

Flood and drought are strong to extreme in the period.

Some locations may experience both conditions. 
September-October 2015 the flood energies are prominent 

November into December 2015 - drought and destructive floods both likely - locations have their signature pattern of vulnerability. The past can be a good indicator of returning patterns.

January into February 2016  big flood events

March 2016 - extremes in drought and flood events

June-July-August-September 2016 - flood and drought

November into December 2016 flood

 The Indicators considered in the noted timeframe

 Saturn-Neptune is the drought pattern when Saturn limits water or retains heat

 Saturn is the dryness and restriction indicator.

 Neptune is the water indicator.

Jupiter is the opposing force to Saturn, bringing abundance or excess.

Jupiter is also the growth indicator.

Saturn is the indicator of failure, loss, damage.

When Jupiter amplifies Neptune, floods, deluges occur 

When Saturn is restraining Neptune dryness and droughts occur

When Saturn restrains Jupiter, growth and production decline.

Saturn-Neptune can also indicate destruction through water. 

Moons nodal axis when activated by Neptune, Jupiter or Saturn.

Mutable signs Pisces, Sagittarius and Virgo especially relevant if in effect for Neptune, Jupiter or Saturn.

This is not the limit of possible indicators.

For example Jupiter or Uranus in Aries will bring extreme or unusual heat.

Both were in Aries in 2011 but being slow moving, Uranus remains in Aries 2011-2019.

Jupiter in Leo will amplify solar irradiation.

Given the context of the prevailing powerful 90 degree angle of Uranus and Pluto which has considerable energetic potential to enact earth changes, April 2015 has followed on strongly from March 2015 [the last exact Uranus-Pluto square in this 2012-2016 cycle] in manifesting earthquakes of significant magnitude, as well as the major Calbuco eruption in Chile. This post focuses on the astrological elements, primarily the mathematics of the midpoints and their significance.

From the basic chart set for Kathmandu, local time 11.56am

the spread of planets, their positions angles and relationships are indicated

Jupiter rising dramatically in Leo, connected to the Sun, Mars, Mercury and Midheaven in the Earth sign Taurus.

Neptune and Chiron in Pisces in the 8th.

The destructive energies of Pluto, Uranus, Saturn all link in turn to multiple other chart energies.

We know that the theme of "world-upside-down" has entered the lives of countless people in this extended period of Uranus-Pluto upheaval.

We know extreme events of nature and expressed through people are channels for this energy. 

The standout elements of the quake event in the chart drawing, taken together, tell part of the story of the powerful prevailing energies, but this first glance method, in this instance, does not jump out immediately with the signature of a mass karma event.

This situation is one where the use of midpoints is where the revelations lie.

By using the midpoint grid, any two chart factors can be considered to see the energy point at which their combined energies are expressed. eg Sun-Moon meet at 15.33 Gemini

Using the midpoint grid for the April 25 Nepal quake, patterns are detected to see where the energy is most focussed.

An immediate standout is the late mutables [Gemini-Sagittarius-Virgo-Pisces] since there are so many midpoints in the range 24-30 degrees. 

This blog has devoted two specific posts in 2013 and 2011 to the energy point known as the Galactic Centre & it's connection to extreme forces or extreme weather.

The Galactic Centre of our solar system currently sits at 27 Sagittarius. This extraordinarily powerful focal energy point arises repeatedly in analysis of events on earth that have global resonance and meaning.

Mass movements of people, mass evacuations - as documented astrologically here in 2011, are also clustered when the late mutable signs are strongly activated 

In addition, Japan's nuclear events as analysed astrologically show the same activation of points related to the Galactic Centre - ie any or all of the mutable signs in late degrees.

What can be found repeatedly in the Nepal quake is the recurrence of midpoints in late mutable signs.

This data is sourced directly from the grid graphic and includes midpoint pairs such as Uranus-Neptune in Pisces [28 degrees]; Moon-Saturn at 29.58 Virgo.

This graphic presents the mutable cross with all four signs represented:

Beneath the mutable cross are standout midpoints across the range of planets.

Note that direct and indirect midpoints are taken as equivalent [an example: a midpoint in Virgo is equivalent to the same position in Pisces because individual zodiac signs are far less relevant than their group expression -[eg cardinal, fixed or mutable].

What stands out here are the roles of the destructive trio Saturn, Uranus and Pluto, especially Pluto in connecting up with other energies -and the repetitive focus on Neptune.

Take the first example Saturn-Venus=Neptune.

Saturn Venus together represents the loss of relationship, grief, separation, sadness.

Saturn-Venus-Neptune as a collective experience takes this to the level of a mass spiritual event.

This is reinforced most clearly by Pluto's transformational power on a spiritual level [Neptune] focussed on the chart's highest point -where the Sun sits in tight conjunction to the Midheaven.

A spiritual rebirth, affecting masses of people in a part of the world associated with religious practices, primarily Hindu with around 10% Buddhist will be seen in it's larger context.
In totality this is a spiritual event for all of humanity.

It is also of significance that the earth is in an eclipse cycle that relates to the March 20 total solar eclipse at 29.27 Pisces.
This energy has the potential to be retriggered multiple times until at least the next solar eclipse - in Sept 2015 
Themes related to late mutable signs have been noted earlier including mass evacuations [major fatalities in Mediterranean from boats sinking, overloaded with refugees; mass movements of people from quakes and Chile eruptions] and extreme weather/earth strain.

To confirm the quality & intensity of your personal degree of connection to the Nepal Quake, study or get assistance to analyse the midpoint grid, in particular the features emphasised earlier. 
Look for your own birth planets in the range 24-30 degrees in Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius.
Look at any repeated degree positions in the midpoint grid that match any of your birth planet positions.
Multiple matches increase the meaning of this event for you. 

The ANZAC 100 year Commemorations held in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and of course the Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey were held according to tradition as dawn approached on April 25.
This collective mass sentiment amongst both attendees and those observing or following via media, also offered an opportunity for spiritual rebirth, since the majority of relevant planetary positions were little different when these gatherings occurred compared to the timing of the severe quakes in Nepal, just a couple of hours later.
Mass movements of people towards and away from meeting places in the respective locations. A significant change in personal response, an elevation in empathy and compassion were on offer. It was the destructive power of human military conflict that blended with this situation, not the power of natural forces

A quick look at 1344 shows Pluto and Uranus were conjunct all year, ranging from 10-16 degrees of Cardinal sign Aries
In 2015 Pluto ranges from 12.58 Capricorn to 15.32 Capricorn; Uranus from 12.37 to 21.35 Aries. Both in Cardinal signs.
In April 2015 on the 25th, Pluto was at 15.32 and Uranus at 17.30. Midpoint is 16.30 in a Cardinal sign.
This mathematical match is undeniable.
It's called a sensitive degree.
Pluto will pass over the 15-17 degree position multiple times in 2016 
Jan, Feb, June, July, Aug, Sept , Nov, Dec = most of 2016
Whether Pluto alone [Uranus by now has sped ahead from late Feb 2016] is capable of bringing more unrest there remains to be seen.
The Jan 2016 New Moon in Capricorn is at 19 degrees tightly activating Pluto at 15 and Uranus at 17. This is a strong strain signature for any vulnerable earth structure.
April 7 2016 New Moon in Aries at 18 degrees. Uranus at 20, Pluto at 17 -also another strain signature in effect for a lunar month.

The April 25, 2015, magnitude 7.8 Gorkha earthquake in Nepal created waves of energy that penetrated into Earth's upper atmosphere in the vicinity of Nepal, disturbing the distribution of electrons in the ionosphere. The ionosphere is a region of Earth's upper atmosphere located from about 60 kilometers 1,000 kilometers above Earth’s surface. These disturbances were monitored using signals transmitted by the Global Positioning System (GPS) that were received by a science-quality GPS receiver located in a neighboring region to Nepal.
The disturbance measurements, known as vertical total electron content (VTEC) (depicted in blue in the upper panel), have been filtered using processing software developed by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California, to show wave-like disturbances (circled in red) in the distribution of electrons in the ionosphere. The waves have periods of between two and eight minutes in length. The disturbance measurements following the earthquake rupture are circled in black in the lower panel. The colors represent the relative strengths of the earthquake-induced ionospheric disturbances as captured by the GPS signals, with red being high and blue being low.  source & further content

May 12 2015

BBC report indicates that mass fatalities and injuries have accompanied a M7.3 quake at Dunche near Everest and close to the border of Chinese territory.

The closest town is Namche Bazaar. This follows aftershocks from the M7.8 on April 25 2015.

Kathmandu was once again shaken being 76 kms to the west of the epicentre but Tibet, China, Bangladesh and India also experienced tremors.

Numerous significant aftershocks have once more been recorded.

This June 2012 full moon is another close perigee = Supermoon as defined by Richard Nolle.
The perigee, exact full moon and moon in extreme south declination all occur in close combination - and very soon to be followed by the transit of Venus across the sun on June 5-6. This transit adds to the last eclipse indicators re a shift away from dominant masculine power towards greater prominence of the feminine - less yang more yin. The time to assert far greater female equality is also very relevant.

[update June 5: With the weekend of celebration re Britain's Queen Elizabeth's 60 year reign - Diamond Jubilee coinciding with the Venus transit it is timely to note that her popularity has perhaps never been higher. This contrasts with the widespread contemporary distaste people have for governments and their style of management. A strong example of the shift in male-female power dynamics]

Michael Erlewine, using his tidal force tables also attributes a 93-94% pull being in force between June 3-6 2012.  These combined factors considered, seismic activity is expected to increase under these conditions.

UK London chart chosen on account of the Queen's Jubilee -shows Jupiter ( optimism, confidence) in Taurus (steadfast, fundamental values)  most elevated - and at a time when the great transformer, Pluto is exact on the, also elevated, Sun, the Royal signifier in this context. Britain's chart set for 1066 shows the prominence of Royalty and tradition (Capricorn) - to this nation. A rebirth of Royal devotion looks likely, since they, as a family represent the supportive and good service aspects of a benign nation far more than the role played by governments -especially amidst austere times.
With Uranus in the mix, set to tighten its strain on the status quo in the UK [ as well as across the globe whereever change is overdue] the question arises whether the Queen will decide to end her reign within the year.

1066 UK chart has a lot of earth emphasis -practical, hard-working, conservative

Christchurch New Zealand selected for the lunar eclipse at 11.11pm June 4 2012 -though this is taken as representative of NZ in general for this event. [seismic activity has been ongoing in this region since the first, unexpected sequence on unknown faults occurred on Sept  4 2010]

A Neptunian tragedy
Neptune-Pisces connects strongly to water -  but also to drugs, alcohol, oil, gas, chemicals, toxicity, sensitivities, allergies. Any or several of these are likely to be implicated in painful events including deaths, in this lunar eclipse time frame [ can be triggered by other elements, days before exactitude & potentially active up to next lunar eclipse in 6mnths] 
For Christchurch, this signature is based on the Neptune-Chiron placement at the AC (ascendant) - all in Pisces and with Pluto joining the energy of Scorpio (MC) via tight sextile to Chiron. The associated  dimension of a powerful spiritual healing for some involved in such an event.

1. With tight contacts between Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars there are relationship and gender tensions over beliefs, ideas, thoughts, comments, opinions, philosophies - a significant male-female divide exposed over when men think versus the female opinion or even just yin versus yang - parenting, work/life balance, home life vs career life, are sure to be newsworthy [ in NZ]  in this lunar month.
In general, universally & globally, a notable theme this month is about conflict, a clash of beliefs, arguments over details; news and media content criticised.
Mature, mediated conversations are the remedy; resolving differences through mediation - this applies as much on a personal level as in business and public domains.  Collectively we need to permit the process of resolution, peace-making, diplomacy to settle our differences - or face perpetual hellish scenarios in a world gone insane.
[update June 11 the eclipse has brought forth in NZ the issue of educational philosophy - perfectly reflecting Gemini-Sagittarius. Much dissent - via the stressor Mars - followed a proposed government policy for schools. People power, via the Pluto-Uranus square - enabled a government backdown 

2. Gemini-Sagittarius both involve movement as in local trips, distant travel, walking, driving, various forms of transport. With Mars in tension - speed, arguments can be the source of travel accidents. Mars is fire energy and so can be associated with transport problems, vehicle combustion.

New Zealand had over 800 vehicle crashes, with 7 fatalities in the holiday weekend period June 2-4 - way in excess of the stats for April 2012 Easter long weekend. The road Police are mystified. There was a full moon supermoon in effect on the Easter weekend from April 6-8, but the themes of that event did not suggest a hi profile for transport disasters aggravated by Mars as is event for the June  4 eclipse.
Extra heavy snow fell on central South Island's Canterbury region, with Christchurch experiencing the "heaviest snow in living memory", including snow at sea-level on beaches. The result has been widespread transport disruption on June 6-7, affecting roads and air travel. Water - frozen in the form of ice and snow has been the prime factor, leading also to power outages [ 1700 homes in Canterbury by morning of Jun 7]. Schools & other educators have been closed on June 6 in Canterbury and the bus transport system shut down in Christchurch. Temperatures dropped to -11C in rural west Canterbury at Darfield.
Mountain passes across the region have been closed & many highways closed.
Postal delivery - another Gemini domain -suspended in Chch June 7. 

In other locations surface flooding from heavy rain (Greymouth, NZ and water has been problematic on Australia's eastern seaboard: wild surf in Sydney from the supertides. In east of Victoria state, Australia, the Gippsland Lakes are posing a flood crisis after huge rainfall ]



With Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Aries moving tighter and tighter to an exact 90 degree right angle relationship in June, this represents maximum tension between 2 very contrary forces, though both have revolutionary potentials.
The psychological achetypes related to the signs of Capricorn and Aries are being majorly readjusted amongst humanity to correct imbalances [Saturn in Libra holds this card]
Where Capricorn is the elder and mature component of our psyche, Aries is the raw selfish child; Capricorn represents the clan or family component; Aries is the individual. These two often opposing drives towards the needs of self vs the common good have to be better balanced. We have swung way to far into the territory of selfish children.

Saturn's influence is in the mix in order to facilitate this process of change on the level of responsible relating amongst humans in all spheres of social activity  - from domestic to public, national and international contexts. We all need to do better, be better and as an example of this, the most pressing & unavoidable truth is to manage monetary behaviour in a more adult fashion, as indicated by global, national and personal financial pressures necessitating the hand of Saturn in terms of fiscal restraint.

Capricorn represent societal structure, governments and authorities [ in loco parentis] and in many nations, governmental management has had the hallmarks of dysfunctional parenting for way too long.  This generates a failure of the system to do as intended - to provide the right conditions for citizens to live a productive and healthy life. Operating a national economy that ensures good food, meaningful employment, suitable housing, efficient infrastructure and supportive services is the fundamental task of government. This is a struggle now not only in the Third World, but across First World nations - proof that radical restructuring is required. This process, thankfully, has already, though slowly begun - and will continue intensely in the period of coming years.  This is indeed an historic era to be living through but the transition will not be smooth, nor easy.
Expect to see some clear examples of the process of socio-political-economic change repeatedly in the news  - some signs will relate to policies and beliefs, some to rebellion & upheaval, some to end of era indicators, some to significant deaths and falls from grace.

Solar activity with geo-effective potentials increased on June 3 with a 3.3 M flare, adding to the earth-facing high speed wind stream. Solar flux and the sunspot number also rose.

Mathematics Link Christchurch Quake Sequence

Using mathematical tables of planetary positions

 it is possible to find numerous intriguing links

 between the three major dates that have unfolded

 in the ongoing earthquake sequence in Christchurch New Zealand.

All three events have a direct link

 to the total lunar eclipse on December 21 2010

Why would an event in December activate events months before or after? Research indicates that powerful events have a field of influence that builds beforehand and extends afterwards and this can be shown mathematically by points in time.

This eclipse chart  shows the Moon hard left opposite the Sun's circular glyph, both at right angles to the highest placed Uranus and Jupiter. The red and blue lines of connected energy make this an exceptionally potent representation of energetic forces.

For the purposes of this proposition the mathematics of degrees and minutes of arc ( the full circle of 360 divided into 12 sectors gives each at 30 degrees width) 

The Sun at 29.21 was in full moon opposition to the Moon at 29.21 in two signs Sagittarius-Gemini of the mutable group - (Sagittarius, Gemini, Pisces, Virgo) 

Jupiter at 25.16 and Uranus at 26.46, Mercury at 26.16
Collectively a big energy mix ranging between 25.16-29.21 in mutable signs
29 degrees mutable is in conjunction ( a one degree variation) with 0 degrees cardinal (Cancer, Capricorn, Libra, Aries)
The eclipse degree 29.21 is the strongest, in this close grouping in the eclipse chart.
(other factors empower this chart but to keep on focus they will be left for now)

The ASC-MC midpoint degree is 29.40  Pisces

Uranus 29.00 Pisces = exact on the midpoint position

Uranus sits at 90 degrees to the Nodes at 0 Cardinal

Event Three

June 13 2011, 2.20 pm local time Christchurch NZ

Sun and Pluto share a midpoint degree of 29.10 Pisces

Mercury and Pluto share a midpoint degree of 29.14 Pisces

The recurrence of factors at 29 Pisces being the stress-generating 90 degree position in reference to the December 2010 eclipse degree of 29 Sagittarius is clear.

In addition all 3 Christchurch seismic events have occurred in with sun and mercury in mutable positions, Sept = Virgo, Feb=Pisces, June=Gemini.


September 2010 saw the early combining of  the power group Pluto-Uranus-Saturn-Jupiter in tight alignment in late mutable to early cardinal positions. This group of 4 and later 3, is highly significant in the ramped up global natural disasters and political upheavals. In June 2011, Pluto occupies the midpoint of Saturn and Uranus, so no surprise that a lot is being activated.

The question now is whether events in this cycle are over for Christchurch

June 2011 sees the beginning of a new eclipse cycle, with 3 events from June 1-July 2.

The new full moon lunar eclipse degree is 24.23 mutable  (Sagittarius) A new chart will have the momentum. More on that once a scan of the chart has occurred.

How about the Japan Tsunami & mega-quake on March 11 2011?

Since this event occurred within the time frame this too must show relevant indicators.

2012

A new and powerful sequence began on December 23 2011 and has been persistent into January 2012

On December 23 at 1.58pm a M5.85 bearing 9 kilotonnes of energy released into Pegasus Bay, 5.8kms east off New Brighton and 13.8 kms east of Cathedral Square central Christchurch. Since that event a multitude of aftershocks have hammered the Bay - data
