BREXIT astrology - the world has changed

June 2016 saw the UK deliver a LEAVE vote in terms of membership of the European Union
Most of the debate has been immigration focussed -but it is the political, economic and financial causes and consequences which are possibly more significant.
Astrological cycles are a powerful guide to historical events and in 2016 the essence of the current Saturn-Jupiter cycle has been awakened.

Fast forward to 2016
June 23
Saturn -the classic signifier of separation being by this stage at 11'40 Sagittarius triggers a transformational freedom [Pluto in Sagittarius] foreshadowed in the conjunction chart of May 2000

this quickly released image from the Leave sector

[Mars at 23'23 Scorpio on 23/6/2016 activates the original conjunction - Saturn and Jupiter play out the classic tug-of-war - Saturn = separating, versus Jupiter = being part of a big socio-political territory.]
But Saturn in Sagittarius requires a blending of the two motivations - and freedom through leaving seems to have captured a few more million people in the UK referendum

Pluto energy signifies that much has has to break down and burn to the core in order for a new version to arise out of the ashes.
This is transformation, this is healing and renewal - exactly the intense change that most people dread and fear right through to the cellular level, when it affects any aspect of life - but when a whole nation is collectively put on the bonfire, it's a powerful rebirth that's on offer.

Faith and trust are called upon more than ever that something better could arise -better than propping up dysfunctional plutocratic governments, the privileged and comfortable sectors who have been the clearly identified beneficiaries of neoliberal politics across the world, the architects of austerity, the engineers of inequality.

So June 2016 marks a very significant stake in the ground in the European and global arena.

In terms of energy shifts -which are essentially the role of astrology to identify and explain - we, globally and collectively are sitting, in 2016, on the fringes of the biggest shift in 200 years

So, in the most recent cycle, aside from 1980-81, our global humanity has been locked increasingly and highly dysfunctionally, into a very materialistic, money-oriented mindset since 1802.

In 2016, the world is again being put on notice, given a forewarning, a wake-up call, courtesy of Brexit and the obvious financial ripples, shudders and crashes.
A bright light is illuminating the coming transition towards the end of 2020 - the beginning of 200 years shift in focus - focus away from money, possessions, mass indulgence in greed, accumulating, collecting, storing. THINGS, objects, stuff, clutter.
And because nothing happens in a vacuum - global effects with mass consequences are the expected conduit through which humanity's relationship to money, possessions, accumulation is in many ways forcibly changed.
People en masse are simply not going to wake up in this transition period and beyond 2020, and say words to the effect I'm over this materialist shit - though a few already are and people in the 1960's hippy era did embrace this philosophy

So global events are the obvious precursor crisis that enforces less materiality -and yes, less money,- due to conditions of deprivation for many-rather than a pre-selected personal philosophical choice.

The hard way is enforced change.
The easier way is working out in advance where the flow is going and making personal decisions that create a shift away from so much extreme dependence on a materialistic existence - eg renting versus owning property, public transport versus personal vehicle, reducing the quantity of consumer goods purchased in favour of using just what you need or sharing/borrowing/hiring appliances/tools/equipment.
Being prepared to live on a lower income.
Getting rid of clutter, stored possessions. [The minimalist style is an early flavour of what is to be much more prevalent]
Downsizing -literally reducing the scale of the things you choose to keep - housing, transport - house to apartment; from car to a scooter.

Because we have already entered the transition period there are many indicators of these shifts in consciousness about materialism.
More is to come because it is a collective shift that will capture the essential mindset of humanity -and many will not be interested in making a change. But the flow cannot be resisted. Standing in a growing flood is simply the sign of a delusional ego.
Global financial crises have been continually anticipated again in the years after the 2007 GFC and the odds have arguably been increased with the Brexit Leave vote.
Brexit itself is not the world changer, Brexit happened because the world is in transition for even more change.

As human technology expands

 so do the territory or theatres of warfare

From land based skirmishes, to battles at sea, then air, - commencing in former times with kite and balloon assisted weaponry, long before the pronounced use of airplanes in the twentieth century - and beyond the earth domain into space - where to date only test programs have been enacted with no casualties -already anticipating future military scenarios: 

the major powers are effectively enabled for military engagements in outer space.

This of course has the potential to impact geostationary satellites.

Land, Sea, Air, Space - the four domains of human exploration are already militarized, but we have entered now the Fifth Domain of Cyberspace - which has more potential for widespread destruction than anything other than nuclear weaponry.

Our contemporary era 2011-2016 features the most obvious indicators of a fuller scale entry into cyberwarfare [but this will not be the end of it] - ushered in by the energetic impulse provided by:

• - transformational/destructive Pluto forces altering Capricornian societal structures and infrastructure
• - radical/anarchic/ Uranus expressing through aggressive militaristic Aries.

[As Uranus remains in Aries until 2019, further time frames are open for all kinds of electronic warfare/cyber attacks] 

Uranus is the natural channel for the air element of Aquarius = the electronic network.

The Uranus-Aries signature has high level potential for computer driven technologies to launch destructive attacks on national infrastructure

• The elemental transition from earth to air dominance in technologies in the Jupiter-Saturn cycle has been preceded by repeated conjunctions in the earth element from 1842 until the end of 1980. 
• From 1981 to May 28, 2000 there was a sequence of Air conjunctions. 
• From May 28, 2000 to Dec 21, 2020 is the last gasp in Earth element dominance [focus on material objects & grossly physical technologies] for hundreds of years.

• A decline in materialistic values and attachment to the physical, eg disdain for possessions is inevitable during the Air dominant period increasingly over the next two hundred years from 2021.

• This 200 year period will see extensive embedded data systems in terms of technology but also an increase in the human mental capacity for mind-to-mind non-verbal communications, thought transference/telepathy  mind-reading using electromagnetic frequencies as opposed to physical speech or writing

With Uranus in Taurus 2019-2026 a further disconnect, detachment from material and physical technologies is likely to become manifest

In addition:

• Less reliance on physical, material objects eg. a cashless economy, more wireless, less cabling, the end of wallets full of swipe cards; those objects which become mainstream are more highly sophisticated, technologically.
• Less paper documents and objects.
• Reading and writing switch predominantly to electronic mode

From 2025-2044 Pluto is is the Air sign Aquarius which has clear implications for technology -both positive and negative

Developments before 2025 accelerated during Uranus in Taurus [2018-2026] lay the structures and practices in place for what evolves under Pluto in Aquarius

Remote activation and terrestrial airspace as the field of operation are both relevant to the Aquarian era.

While groups and networks will form to develop transformational and egalitarian technologies there is equally scope for destructive use of technology where people seek to gain power, control and dominate through electronic means.

Pluto in Aquarius is only at 3.5º and may well be implicated in another financial crisis in less than a year - exacerbated this time by the nature of high speed electronic trading in addition to any nefarious deeds.

THE INTRODUCTION TO A 2016 CYBERWAR POST adds a reference to the Jupiter-Saturn cycle and its entry into AIR [ Aquarius] in December 2020 - this fundamental societal cycle remains in Air signs for around 200 years. This means the 2020s mark the termination of the prior 200 year cycle.

The Winter Solstice Chart 2011: Christchurch NZ

This link will take you to the full view chart for the time the Sun reaches the major winter marker in 2011, specifically for Christchurch New Zealand, the winter solstice when the sun is at its furtherest north position in relationship to the earth and appears to stand still before resuming its journey south, over the equator in September to reach its maximum south position in December, our summer solstice in southern lands.

Homes, possessions, money and all earthly material things are highly emphasised for this Christchurch specific chart.

Taurus - money, possessions, and literally the earth we walk on, security -  is the rising sign at the AC point.

The Sun and Mercury reinforce this by being in the sector related to Taurus -the second house on the chart wheel.

The Sun and Mercury are in the sign most connected to homes and families - Cancer

The Moon which is the planetary force related to Cancer, is in the significant, most elevated position, exactly at the MC point. The sign placement in Pisces reflects a dissolving, dematerializing influence since Pisces relates to water and more spiritual perspectives - in contrast to the materialistic perspective of Taurus.

So firstly the areas of focus are identified as well as the contradictory forces - material/non-material, mundane/spiritual, holding on/letting go. 

As in a prior post on the influence of Saturn, this chart perpetuates the indications of difficulties, challenges, separation, loss, endings of connections and relationships which are shown in the eclipse charts for midyear 2011.

In this chart which lays out the road ahead for several months, Saturn is shown to be in exact aspect to the Taurus AC point. It is in exact aspect to Mercury - the indicator of thoughts, discussion, ideas and information related to (here in Cancer) homes and families.  Serious, difficult, frustrating, negative even depressing themes are on the agenda. Saturn too is in exact aspect to the Moon-MC point - again homes families emphasised in respect of difficulties, worries and stresses facing people.

In addition, Saturn and Mercury join Pluto and Uranus in the year's major pattern indicating massive upheaval and change. In all four signs related to the seasonal markers this is called a Cardinal Square and as such indicates more significant environmental disturbance to come.

People will manifest the sort of implosions and explosions, subsidences and collapses seen on the eternal physical level of street and landscapes as the pending news from government sinks in.

(As the timing for the government release of information - believed to be incomplete still by June 23 - is in the energy field of this solstice pattern, the information released related to Christchurch will reflect the sobering themes outlined here.)

This is a brief analysis but the standout points are, to borrow a phrase "blindingly obvious" not only in the chart's depiction of energy interactions, but also that the government announcement by Key and Brownlee, on June 23 will reflect the heart-breaking news this chart indicates. It is unlikely that the full picture is already known due to the likelihood of more quake-induced damage unfolding this year. ( Brownlee got stuck in a lift today - a symbolic rendering of one of the myriad Saturn-Mercury effects: transport malfunction, a block in the flow of energy)

The forces this year are particularly strong in respect of challenging people's attachments to their physical reality. This will clearly stretch many to the maximum because of the threat to personal, home and family security. Other more adaptable people will be capable of letting go, valuing their peace of mind and quality of life in preference to the stuff they own. These events push people to work out their true values and that could lead them to a simpler existence based on owning less. Ultimately that position reflects the collective shift we are facing globally re financial meltdowns, forcing re-adjustments in people's materialistic ambitions. The new cycle has begun.
