Analysis: March 2016 Potent Pisces Eclipse

A potent total solar eclipse in Pisces in March 2016 comes bundled with multiple heavy hitters on board.

Pisces events involving the sun, moon or other planets generate much more sensitivity and compassion in people but also the extremes of feeling that lead to escapism, addiction, seclusion.

Illusion, delusion, confusion are also strongly activated by the combination of Pisces and it’s paired planet Neptune.

Both the planet Neptune and the related sign Pisces are prominent is March 2016.

Piscean and Neptunian influenced people can be among the most religious, in extreme cases the devotion leads to a cult of adoration centred around a charismatic figure onto whom godlike qualities are projected. Religious fundamentalism is another path – one followed by those who emphasise the notions of purity and purification to a level that requires punishment, repression, even annihilation of those who fail to adhere.

Pisces people are the most likely to be deceived – or to deceive others and many will either fall prey to being conned or to defraud others -so watch out for cheats, frauds & thieves when Pisces is strong.

Pisces is in polarity with Virgo and recent months have seen many unable to zone out into Pisces mode because of too much work -a situation triggered by Jupiter in Virgo. The effect is again very strong this month.

The Pisces state of mind is the opposite of the Virgo state - Pisces sees the bigger picture, the interconnectedness and the spiritual flow between all beings, all things. Virgo is the analytical mind that sorts into categories, classifications, systems and functions. This is intended to attain efficiency and perfection, neatness, tidiness, orderliness -but Virgo can get so caught up in fine, hair-splitting detail that the meaning is lost. Pisces needs a bit more balance in order to step out of the chaos of the Whole picture. 

Balance is always a theme when two polar signs arise together.

In this new millennium there are many indicators of the return of religious fundamentalism and this energy is emphasised in the time frame of the March 2016 total solar eclipse New Moon in Pisces.

Eclipse energy has a much wider window of effect than the usual monthly Moon events. 

Building energy can be triggered even weeks in advance of the exact conjunction of the eclipse Sun & Moon and the themes exist in their potential activation state during at least the 6 month period until the next eclipse period.

Why is this eclipse so potent?

Multiple energies will leapfrog and synergise in a chain reaction effect. This eclipse carries along with it many other planetary forces in a tight range of connectivity.

Powerfully built eclipse formations such as this occur in the context of world events with mass impact.

The month overall has energies likely to manifest through the following themes -some but not all will occur in your location, some will have global implications.

March 26  follows the March 23 eclipse with a quartet of energies in the 16-17 degree range:

Jupiter-Saturn-Venus-Pluto.

This means Venus is the target of 3 planets that are determined to engage

Venus is money, love/relationships, peace.

Jupiter is an expanding and beneficial bringer of abundance

Saturn is a contracting and restrictive bringer of losses

Pluto is a challenging, sometimes cruel force that can destroy so that the new can be born

So overall there are more difficulties, more people encountering the suffering aspects re relationships, money and harmonious balance –versus maybe the 1% who always gain when the majority fall over – as is well known in the stock and share markets of the world and when housing values collapse – so this late March eclipse may be a significant crisis indicator for the world economy.

In addition starting from this late March period the Saturn-Jupiter stress could be a risky than usual time for overseas or foreign travel - the eclipse influence can extend this risk period for 6 months from March - and April-May 2016 could see a major aviation tragedy.

Eclipses - how do they work?

The fundamental significance of eclipses is that they have the power to amplify whatever forces are operating in the time frame, in addition to the basic consequences of the sun and moon working in tandem.

The result is that eclipses are known as signposts or markers of significant global events

How are patterns identified?

The mathematics are always the first clue.

The geometric mathematics of astrology range from simple angles such as 90 or 180 degrees through to much more unusual divisions of the 360 degree circle. All these different angles have signature effects.

But what makes a pattern easier to spot is when multiple planets occupy a narrow range of degree positions.

The eclipse for March 9 2016 has a tight grouping in the range 16-22 degrees.

Many significant fires also clustered around the eclipse. This was not due to Pisces energy but due to the connected planets Pluto-Uranus-Jupiter - with Uranus being in the fire sign Aries -all forms of aggression were amplified by Pluto combining with Jupiter channelled through Uranus= sudden fire in elemental form, sudden aggression in people.

March 22 terror attacks in central Brussels, capital of Belgium. Two main transport hubs affected -the international airport and a central metro train station.

Lunar events are known to coincide with extreme behaviour and the March 23 eclipse, as forecast in report, stimulated aggressive activity, while the ideological extremism stimulated under the early March eclipse remains in effect. No surprise that transport networks -as warned here - were targeted.

AUGUST 2013 astro-analysis = High-Risk Period

This is a global report - since Earth is in its entirety
 subject to solar system forces.

 These conditions feed into the rising energies of the August 6 New Moon in Leo.

Historically August has shown quite potent globally relevant events and this corresponds energetically with the factors affecting the Sun being more important than in other months.
The solar system is viewed in this context as a holistic feedback system so the dynamics of the planets orbiting the Sun in August [and in fact the whole Leo period from July 22-August 22] are of particular interest in this report.
Leo emphasises matters of the heart both literally and romantically, love, love affairs, the energy of children, the creative drive, the desire to shine, to rule, to be entertaining, to show off.
In August the 14 degree New Moon is at odds with the 12 degree lunar nodes -Leo versus Scorpio-Taurus. Love versus sex, romance versus physical definitions of love. Take care of children under this pattern as there are some adverse influences

Moon events - new and full as well as eclipses - have a building phase noticed even up to three days prior to the exact position and have an extended period of energetic influence - typically until the next month's event - new or full moon - but with eclipses - lasting over the 6 months until the next solar or lunar eclipse.

August 2013 however has more in store with Jupiter intensifying all the above high risk effects, and thereby serving as a tipping point for processes that have been building in tension over time.
Some consequences are likely to include sudden, rapidly changing developments, new circumstances requiring quick adjustment.

What is involved is a significant power surge which will manifest through certain people who resonate with the need to take decisive action or control.

The natural elements similarly are empowered with much greater force than usual.

[Mars and Jupiter are in parallel declination through August as well -adding extra fuel to an already very intense collection of energies affecting people and places in diverse locations]

For some: Loss of wealth. Loss of everything

• Material and financial losses with the likelihood of destructive and damaging ingredients relate both to environmental threats in vulnerable zones and societal-political arenas including sudden trading market and investment losses being more significant than usual.
• Social unrest and power struggles related to conflicts with authority, government forces
• All of the above conditions are likely to occur in situations where rebalancing is required – that may be an environmental location, an organization, a nation’s system of government, and so on right down to an individual’s personal use of power and resources. 

As in all changing states of energy, your degree of personal resonance with the energetic effects occurring determines whether you personally get the strongest or the least effects.
Being on the receiving end of a life changing shift in circumstances will not automatically reveal the reasons why such an event occurs so it is important to take time for deep self-reflection to mitigate against further repeats.

And August continues to deliver even more.

Full Moon is August 21 at 28 degrees Leo-Aquarius –extending the same themes as the July Full Moon [ love, love affairs, friendship, group activities – activation of issues and questions around these variations in relating]

In addition:

• The Uranus-Pluto social-political-environmental turmoil is intensified by Jupiter and this grouping, as well as Mars all feed back to the powerful full moon energies.
•  Typically events can occur in the building phase of the moon coming to complete exact opposition to the sun. [the earth is positioned sandwiched between the two so all three are in one straight alignment]

In August 2013 it is worthwhile looking at the 17^th to 18^th as an initial significant triggering period in the days before the Full Moon due to the Sun’s activation of Pluto; the Moon’s activation of Pluto then Jupiter, then Uranus; plus Jupiter and Uranus linked to the lunar nodes.

• The trio of eclipses from late April-late May represent 3 events capable of multiple effects over a six month period - to October and November 2013
• Moon’s perigee positions [Supermoons] adding gravitational strain in May, June and July
• Jupiter in Cancer adding atmospheric pressure
• The Jupiter-Pluto a surge of powerful energy
• The Jupiter-Uranus sudden release of tension 

In summary:
multiple factors look likely to have accumulated over time which place strain on geophysical structures and set in process the degree of powerful movement which accentuates strains.

Ultimately this situation must end in a significant release.

• This scenario can be equally applied in other situations – human made structures and systems failing; electronic system breakdown; human meltdown after sustained pressure

• Powerful storms and earthquakes are the sort of outcomes anticipated -but any involvement of the elements -expressed as wind, water, fire or earth events - can result in various scenarios

• [update Friday August 16 - M6.6 quake in the Marlborough region of New Zealand sets off a string of strong aftershocks -news report. These events - [ Geonet quickly reports 60 aftershocks since the M6.6 quake around 2.30pm, with 6 being M 5 or greater] -  are highly relevant to the forecast in this report - written months previously - and stands in contrast to the official seismology forecast of an extremely low likelihood of a significant quake in this time frame news report

If the factors around the August Full Moon coincide with any significant turbulence in earth’s geomagnetic field as a result of powerful solar flares, high speed solar wind, or the effects of coronal mass ejections – to name some possibilities in the realm of space weather then even further complexities and intensities are added into the situation.

August 31-September 1st  there is an emphasis on extreme forces due to the opposition  midpoint of Jupiter to Pluto being at right angles to the position of Uranus.

Violent, coercive, dangerous, destructive energies can manifest as aggressive, homicidal acts as well as natural elements with annihilating force.

Under this influence there is heightened likelihood of terrorist and militaristic activity as well as criminal aggression involving the misuse of power. 
Natural elements are likely to reveal extreme weather events in various global locations as well as enhanced structural strain resulting in seismic events in vulnerable zones.

Addendum:
Christchurch, New Zealand entered a period of enhanced seismic activity in September 2010.
At this time Jupiter and Uranus began a paired cycle, exact at 28'43 Pisces on September 19, they were just slightly off exactitude when the M7.1 quake occurred on the 4th.
Cycles are the bread and butter basis of orbital life in the solar system and their study reveals much of significance
The beginning of a cycle establishes a pattern. Other significant stages in the cycle include the initially paired planets reaching positions at 90 and 180 degrees to each other.
In August 2013, the Sun on the 20th begins a pattern of strain with Jupiter and Uranus.
The Moon when almost at full on the 21st adds to the tension applied by the Sun.  Also on the 21st, NZ time Jupiter at 12 Cancer is exactly 90 degrees square Uranus at 12 Aries.
This is the first significant marker point since September 2010 for this pair of planets.
Against the recent backdrop of a noticeable slowdown in seismicity in the Christchurch-Canterbury region, it remains to be seen whether that location will resonate again to the cycle of Jupiter-Uranus

This early forecast posted June 17 has been vindicated by a swarm of earthquakes developing since July 19 in the Cook Strait, with Wellington City experiencing both superficial and structural damage following the largest [M6.5] seafloor quake and effects experienced in the relatively low populated area of Marlborough.

At 1.07 am a M5.4 in the Cook Strait, 12kms deep, 20kms east of Seddon,Marlborough sustains and extends the ongoing sequences in the immediate and surrounding regions

It would be extremely sensible to take precautionary measures wherever possible including planning, supplies and avoidance of risk zones during this high risk period -especially in the period of August highlighted in this report.
It seems likely that the seismic unrest in the Cook Strait has significantly more to deliver.

August 17 2013 update
Following the M6.6 earthquake near Lake Grassmere,  north-eastern Marlborough on August 16 at 2.31 pm, there were four events over M5 in quick succession within the following 80 minutes. 
Within 2 hours a M6 occurred, followed by further M5+ events in the following 90 minutes.
The quakes formed an epicentre between the townships of Seddon and Ward
Extensive damage in the local region though again more news focus was initially directed towards the capital city Wellington where lesser damage occurred.

The focal area of the quakes -though many aftershocks have occurred in the seafloor to the N/E

NZ's volcanic White Island erupted in an impressive steam display for 10 minutes, mid-morning on August 20. The island is located east off the central North Island and in the central volcanic zone which extends into the south Pacific. This activity adds further to the ongoing seismic unrest that has spiked since July 2013  - news report

Christchurch earthquakes: end of 2012 update

The end of 2012 sees a supposed slowdown in quake activity leading local scientists to announce:

"The probability of a large earthquake hitting Canterbury continues to decline as the earthquake sequence settles down, says GeoNet. Latest aftershock probabilities show the chance of a magnitude 5.0 to 5.4 aftershock happening in the next year is now at 69 per cent - compared to 71 per cent last month and 82 per cent in January.

There is now a 29 per cent chance of a magnitude 5.5 to 5.9 hitting before November 9, 2013, a 9 per cent possibility of a magnitude 6.0 to 6.4, and a 2 per cent chance of 6.5 to 6.9 aftershock.

There is just a 1 in 100 chance of another magnitude 7.0 or higher like the 7.1 which struck Darfield on September 4, 2010, sparking the Canterbury earthquake sequence."

shows the enduring activity of the current sequence over the past year. It has had many more supposed decays and declines than any of the other sequences shown, followed by rebounds. The general trend looks to be down even to the non-specialist observer -but is that what is really going on?

To accept and believe in a clear and definite reduction, i.e. in effect a cessation in earthquake activity in the larger Canterbury region, may be too much to hope for, given the unusual and unexpected seismic features in the period since Sept 4 2010 and the unpredictability element associated with natural forces of this type.
The previously active Pegasus Bay area is seemingly quiet but as recently as June-mid November 2012 featured a string of quakes many would not be aware of (Canterburyquakelive graphic)

I continue to regard the Pegasus Bay area as a vulnerability, and to locals, the source of further unexpected activity, (the "hidden" factor of being sub-marine, not land based, a dark horse element if you like. Pegasus of course being the winged horse of Greek mythology).  There is a clear west to east progression in the aftershock sequences and in view of the current global condition of increasing extreme weather, and in the context of a holistic interpretation, associated geophysical stresses and strains are likely to be exacerbated, rather than lessened.
This consideration of the broader picture suggests a resumption of more significant seismic activity in the region may have a greater probability than standard models deduce.
As at Jan 2 2013, the last 100 quakes in Canterbury, M3.0 and over. See how the intense dark area is indicative of the amount of earth movement within a concentrated area, heading into the bay.

NEW MADRID Seismic Zone - historic astrology aspects

Knowing that historically, the mid-continent New Madrid seismic zone (USA) has had recurrent powerful earthquakes - and that future seismic upheaval is generally regarded as likely this century, events there are of interest in terms of signature energy patterns.
During the period Dec 16 1811 to Feb 7 1812, four significant quakes in the M7-8 range occurred in four locations.
The following analysis looks at the combined effects of solar system forces as expressed in events on earth.
The method used is planetary analysis.

The planetary positions on that day are indicated above.
Noticeably Pluto in Pisces was in range of conjunction to the lunar south node during this time frame.

Using a calculation based on the midpoint of Pluto and South Node = 12PIS40 and the activating (semi-square) degree of 27AR40, it can be seen that Saturn and Mars (27-28 SAG) on Dec 16 activated the Pluto- South Node midpoint. 

January 23 1812

On Jan 23 1812, the quake event was at 1500 UTC in Missouri BootHeel.

Mars and Jupiter took the role of activators =  Mars 26PIS and Jupiter 27GEM aspecting the semisquare of the Pluto-South Node midpoint

February 7 1812

On Feb 7 1812,  at 0945UT New Madrid,  Neptune at 13SAG activated the Pluto-Node midpoint -a mix of mutable signs plus the planet Neptune and this event was significant for exceedingly high (Sagittarius) water spouts (Neptune, Pisces). Sun also activated Pluto

So consistently across this time frame, the Pluto-South Node in Pisces synergy was triggered - involving Saturn, Mars, Jupiter, Sun and Neptune in the time frame of the four events.

Looking for somewhat unconventional triggers involving midpoints and semisquares and traditionally minor aspects such as semisextile proves significant in finding planetary energies which synergise to trigger powerfully manifesting events.

To extend a recent post on Pacific quakes - posted when the emphasis was there in 2011, up to early August 2011, this post gives a list of global quakes M6 and over as noted by USGS, occuring from August 19, when a resumption of significant activity occurred.

Vanuatu seafloor continues to be pummeled and smaller events are resonating southwards in NZ's Kermadec Islands -also known for M7+ events, plus NZ's middle North Island is having an unusual sequence of quakes since Aug 30 2011.

Considering Space Weather for your Habitat

We are living in turbulent times and that is a cyclic condition related to living on a planet. The human lifespan makes it impossible to live through the range of potential environmental changes that can occur on planet Earth, so we rely on scientific analysis to extract core samples or study fossil records and so on.

Currently the debate is huge over climate change/global warming, with scientist opposing scientist - and this degree of dissent makes it hard for the average person to form an opinion and accordingly to make any behavioural change to prevent further negative environmental impact.

The present state of the world does cause questioning about natural events -are we facing more or worse effects?
According to long-term records (since about 1900), we expect about 17 major earthquakes (7.0 - 7.9) and one great earthquake (8.0 or above) in any given year.  via USGS

National Geographic says storms are not increasing but getting more severe due to raised temperatures and this aritcle on global warming runs through expected effects.

In contrast, British meteorologist & astrophysicist Piers Corbyn rejects the carbon dioxide induced model of global warming. Corbyn uses a model based on emissions from the sun being the primary drivers of earth's climate and weather.

But that's not the end of it either, because there's also an international community of researchers looking at how the sun, moon and planets affect weather on earth. Here's an example of the space weather theory and there are various sites using methods with a long historical lineage of planet-watching.

The role of the sun and its Coronal Mass Ejections CME is a popular aspect of space weather theory. Sites such as spaceweather.com post the sunspots, flares and ejections as they happen, indicating risk factors on earth. Mainstream e.g. NASA science acknowledges and warns of the electromagnetic interference created by solar wind reaching earth, others like James McCanney will link that solar flow to environmental turbulence on earth. 

A CME on 7th March is expected to have effects on March 9-10 2011

In Christchurch NZ an increased number of (11) aftershocks, including a M4.1 by 5pm

The astrological themes would indicate more frequency of earthquakes, flooding and now fire/heat/volcanic activity for at least the decade ahead.  Spaceweather projections indicate more frequent solar emissions within this period and National Geographic provides a good summary of historic effects -so it has a reached a point of not mattering which philosophy or belief you want to follow, but whether your habitat on earth is suitable for the sort of environmental challenges likely to arise there.
