March 2023 What Shifts?
Approaching mid March 2023 where many astrologers have their eyes glued -a look at prevailing influences.
Hot on the heels of environmental turbulence manifested through a longstanding Uranus in mid Taurus [since December 2022 -then energised through direct station late February 2023] - as well as the enablement of Neptune in water [Pisces] and Jupiter in fire/heat [Aries] providing the deluges transported by Uranus' cyclonic winds....whew!
Next up has arisen the sudden collapse of the Silicon Valley Bank - of red-alert significance due to timing.
This bank being heavily involved in tech sector and crypto funds has crashed within a 2 week window in advance of Big Boss Pluto nudging out of Capricorn [old world ways] and into Aquarius [future & tech ]
Pluto holds at zero Aquarius for 11.5 weeks
The first 4 weeks show the expected slowdown which slows and hangs in advance of exact stationing retrograde on March 1 [Universal/GMT time ] Pluto holds at 0'20-0'22 for 23 days late February into March.
This long hold has extra potency due to the April 20 total solar eclipse [New Moon] which will come alive -ahead of time - in March both at the Pluto square Venus March 16-17 and in resonance relating to days surrounding the Pluto in Aquarius ingress March 23-25.
The eclipse period April 19-22 is also very notable with Pluto being at a stress angle - carrying the late cardinal issues into the exact elements and signs of the square: fixed air Aquarius and fixed earth Taurus
Fixed signs are resistant to changing their patterns. That's why when Uranus and Pluto are both fixed you know the big shifts are going to unfold forcefully deeply [Pluto] suddenly unpredictably chaotically [Uranus]
Pluto at zero Aquarius attached to the April eclipse has potential for tech sector carnage due to the old banking practices [Capricorn] which should have been long ago abandoned
Uranus
As noted earlier Uranus has held mid Taurus for an exceptional duration. This position stresses all the cardinal ingress points 0 degrees*. The impacts on atmospheric pressure wind and chaos are already recorded in the early months of 2023 but environmental consequences cannot be disconnected or separated out from human affairs. Energy has a wide range of manifestation depending upon context. This is why astrological language -keywords - are so numerous for each type of vibrational pattern [which for convenience we call planets]
*Zero Aries [0'50] New Moon March 21 2023 UT is another strong activator of Uranus - reaching 16 Taurus by then. The manifestations of Uranus linked to zero Aries range across new seasonal changes in food production and supply as well as stormy weather disturbances and subsequent land movements/land changes -seismic & slippage events can also arise. All this has manifested early in 2023 prior to mid March due to the long-held position of Uranus.
The association of Taurus with money possessions assets also arose for many due to storm damage so this potential manifestation is also on the list just before Pluto enters Aquarius.
Uranus at the March New Moon therefore adds another chaotic change factor into the mix -even before Pluto officially enters Aquarius.
Powerful patterns remain covert for lengthy periods -months to years before manifesting. There is a conception gestation then birth or outbreak of the pattern into overt manifestation. Multiple factors [planetary signatures] get pulled into the creation of the eventual event. The factor(s) identified closest to the outbreak is/are only the last piece of the puzzle.
Pluto
Pluto's role in early 2023 can meaningfully be tracked back to the Nov 2008 ingress in Capricorn setting the themes of restructuring being necessary -this includes the basics of power sharing -shifting from historic patriarchally centred power to much greater diversity in power sharing - as well as institutional transformations and infrastructure renewal -across all possible contexts. The Cardinal signs Aries Libra Cancer Capricorn are fundamentally super-charged due to their relationship to seasonal patterns which are marked by solstices and equinoxes.
Aside from slowdowns related to stations planets show evidence of being extra creative at both the end and beginning of signs
The shifts a planet can deliver are not completed at the change of sign such as out of Capricorn into Aquarius. The processes initiated under Capricorn begin gradually to be offset by the contrasting energy of the subsequent sign Aquarius even before the ingress. [this points to the deficiencies in our use of time and our approximation of periods of transit.
The Capricorn-Aquarius pairing is literally an old world-new world transition.
Anything that hasn't worked under the old ways old models old structures of past centuries is up for replacement/renewal/refinement.
On a personal level the survival strategy is acceptance. Go with the flow. Welcome the Change. You are powerless to resist evolution. Degeneration suffering and decline are the outcomes awaiting those who try.
Under Pluto in Aquarius for two decades you the person you the people us the community have a far greater contribution to make in how our neighbourhoods cities nations function in service of humanity instead of the motivations of corporates and centralised authorities being in control. This process too has already surfaced -but the anarchic option is the shadow side and arguably more pathological than the model it aims to replace.
Sometimes evolution reactivates the best of the past
Saturn

Saturn is the fundamental Earth energy of the planet's structure and form [compared to Taurus being the topsoil layer of earth and products of earth]
This is a very suitable example of sign fusion -where the new sign functions alongside the official sign in transit for a time before the new ingress.
Saturn restricted drinking water supply and manifested water infrastructure damage -pipes pumps during the Saturn in Aquarius transit. A clue also lies in Aquarius as "water-bearer". The zig-zag glyph said to represent water waves - but also electromagnetic waves - the "water" that invisible fields carry may now be equated with the plasma that dominates the universe -and plasma with Neptune.

We emerge out of the formless Neptune layer to function within the Saturn world of form. This is a challenging process. We need 9 months of transition before exposure to the structures and stimuli of this world.
The Earth school is not totally appealing so some resist & reject what Saturn demands or struggle to integrate while others are clearly well suited. But Saturn functioning out of connection with Neptune is also very problematic
Saturn in Pisces throws up the benefits and challenges of being in the world but not of it. Pisces the great dissolver easily erodes Saturn -landforms crumble and wash away governments and politicians fall on the basis of lies deceit fraud corruption. Forms and structures/infrastructures fail.
All the risks of Pisces in relationship to Saturn are extra emphasised with Saturn in Pisces while Neptune too is in Pisces -until 2025. Both then shift almost together into Aries.
The benefits of Saturn in Pisces are on offer to those who are inherently aligned strongly with Neptune and who can be assisted towards balance by anchoring structure frameworks and firm foundations.
The intention is to embody Saturn while sustaining Neptunian consciousness - at the peak think Dalai Lama - solid grounded while spiritually awake - but the everyday path is just as important - living as a responsible human while guided by the principles of Neptune.
When that degree of integration is out of reach the Saturn-Neptune combination does malfunction and express as maladaptive behaviours that harm the self and others. Limiting excessive Neptune is also an important role for Saturn in Pisces and the world of ambition and profit is fuelled by a lot of Neptune.
As I write the 95th Academy awards has lauded the movie Everything Everywhere All at Once which just cleaned up at the Oscars ceremony. Winning in a movie with a very Neptunian title, winner Michelle Yeoh said "Dreams do come true" -
the manifestation of dreams is also very Saturn in Pisces.
