Saturn is the key planet defining and structuring the world of form -the 3-dimensional reality we function in. The world we are born into and where we live briefly as we navigate all sorts of challenges intended to enrich our essence.
What we learn and refine in the Saturnian world is the gift we feed back into the Neptunian world
The contrast between the two worlds is like that between night and day
The Neptunian world has no concept of isolation or separation and none of the negative traits that emerge in the form world. In the formless dimension waveforms weave an immense energetic tapestry based on consciousness alone.
Saturn and Neptune when experienced on our planet - like other planetary pairs have a purposeful cycle and a large part of that purpose is to merge the consciousness of the formless world with the way we function in the form world.
All authentic spiritual teachers have this as their purpose because humans are more truly a spiritual essence than a biological being.
It is very clear that the reality of who we are can be rapidly buried and forgotten once the terrestrial mind overrides universal consciousness.
The necessity is to reawaken and function on the basis of our underlying consciousness - but as the record stands -a collective recall can take more than two thousand years and periods of significant regression are cyclic.
Chiron
Just like Saturn and Neptune -everyone has the Chiron factor in their birth chart. The degree to which Chiron has life-long detrimental effects depends on how integrated it is with other factors in the birth chart - how many connections are made how challenging those connections are and how much healing is achieved.
The asteroid Chiron on a psychological level points to significant painful harmful or traumatising early life experiences that mould our personality and behaviour. Experiences such as abandonment adoption violence abuse deprivation hunger feeling unseen ignored unloved - often the byproducts of inadequate parenting - imprinted upon the personality in childhood have major consequences in how a person self expresses: some are crushed limited defeated and some follow an over-compensation route to mask their pain.

Chiron in Taurus points not only to physical-bodily vulnerabilities = feeling wounded wrecked or disabled in response to the psychological pressures of poverty poor nutrition hunger - but also underlying feelings of insecurity instability lack of comfort -merging with feeling unworthy - not valued enough to be looked after in this world - and triggered by loss of income unemployment being laid off due to closures

The intention is to collectively learn how to live differently in this world and in relationship with this planet and with each other in ways that restore balance take more care avoid abuse and exploitation turn away from excess and greed.
A huge shift in values is needed: living the high life no longer an appropriate role but living the good life being top priority.
