Although several qualities found in Cate's chart were listed in the original post - as I write her Ocean's 8 movie is on TV - and I am more directly aware of the Pisces quality Cate is able to project through her north lunar node. The north node position can reveal a lot about a person's impact upon the masses. Her node being in Pisces reinforces the role played also by Neptune in her chart: Neptune energy is a perfect tool for actors to embody because it enables great fluidity shape-shifting mystery - which means being able to play a variety of roles. A Neptunian person can inhabit many personas.

The north node in Pisces in Cate's chart sits at 27 degrees. 

This position triggers and is triggered by 12 degrees in any sign in the Fixed group: [Aquarius Taurus Leo Scorpio ]

Cate has Saturn Sun and rising sign in Taurus.

Her rising sign at 15 degrees is in range of the 12 degree activation point but the midpoint location of Saturn and her Taurus Sun is almost 12 degrees. 

This combination of Taurus [body] with a Neptune/Pisces [fantasy]  influenced north node explains the powerful charm that Cate has as well as that talent for inhabiting the form or body of others.

Taurus being one of the fixed signs can also express is ways that are Aquarius Leo or Scorpio - these 3 other signs have more charisma than what we expect of a Taurus - and those 3 signs are very useful to a performer/actor - Aquarius providing eccentric or unusual traits - Leo loving to perform and be appreciated - Scorpio having a magnetic charisma that can easily spill over into very overt sexual allure or pulling power. Having the combination of Jupiter and Pluto in close contact will always impart an enhanced power of some sort to a person. They are placed in Virgo for Cate. Virgo is a mind energy which is well adapted to organising classifying analysing and noticing details. This has the potential to turn into obsessive perfectionism when Pluto's capacity for ruthless exploration is magnified even further by Jupiter.

This combination is also great for therapists or anyone needing to do deep investigation or analysis - a forensic level of detail. Imagine this is how Cate prepares for her roles. fortunately the flip side of Virgo is Pisces - and this also being a very strong trait provides some escape once the role unfolds.

The outward evidence of this abundance of formidable qualities is her highly impressive acting career –which she now combines with 4 children and a long-term marriage. 
The unseen evidence is the stuff that an astrologer can analyse based on the type of energy template she was delivered when born - not long before sunrise on May 14 1969.

A comment recently encountered online said words to the effect that Cate is such a consistently top performer that it is now hard for her to stand out. 

Charlize Theron’s best work saw her radical transformation in Monster –and garnered her multiple awards including an Oscar -just as Leonardo Di Caprio is expected to achieve in 2016 for a similarly intense immersion in The Revenant –these are the sort of edgy performances that typically shoot to the top –so what chance is there to really impact upon the masses when a story is fundamentally no less powerful, but far more subtle, refined, eloquent and beautiful?

Who is Rooney Mara?

Rooney Mara is more of a mystery than the Cate already known publicly and explored here.

Born April 17 1985 she is an Aries.Her whole birthchart is not known due to no birth-time published online.
Her Moon may be in Pisces and Taurus Rising on the Ascendant -the Pisces being reflective of the far-away look captured in so many press images, her real life interest in photography, her sensitivity, comments such as " I really soak up everyone's emotions and moods" and "I need a lot of alone time as a human" - two comments that are classic Pisces.

But nothing about this movie was 100% right until Rooney Mara was finally signed on. That is karma in action. She first declined it. Time passed. Then the timing was right.
Cate and director Todd have joked that they were waiting for Rooney to be born - in reality it is a born again role for her.
Cate confirms the perfect mix: "It feels like it couldn't've happened with any other group of people in any other way at any other time. And that in itself is special."

A film like Carol would be nothing without all the ingredients working. In terms of Cate and Rooney they needed the right chemistry to carry off a story involving love, attraction, desire and their shared expression. 

Chemistry is of course just a catchphrase for attraction, an attraction that has to be credible when it forms the core of a story.

What was written in the stars in the time frame of the movie shoot from March 12-April 25 2014 is that the making of this movie had a meaningful effect on both Cate and Rooney in terms of their understanding of relationships, particularly same sex love and desire.

The influences affecting them both in the time of the movie shoot included most significantly, multiple Venus [relating] activations –by the Sun, Mercury, Uranus, Pluto, Mars.
The Sun being in Pisces in the first fortnight endowed a special movie magic and the highly romantic overtones. Then the over-riding solar energy shifted into the passionate sign of Aries until late in the shoot, then the sensual sign Taurus for the final 5 days.
(If only more films could be shot in keeping with the appropriate prevailing influences -that's when authenticity happens) 

For Rooney the April Sun in Aries and the transiting lunar nodal axis in Libra-Aries strongly energised her birth Sun position in Aries.
Aries and Libra are the fundamental relating energies - so for Rooney the Self-Other dynamic was very emphasised.

The nodal axis is a significant turning point trigger when in contact with personal planetary positions.

For Cate – whose Venus was majorly impacted by multiple planets in the period April 20-22 2014 – Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto all reached the 14 degree point activating her 14 degree Venus. This  movie stands out for having so many addictive qualities -so you will hear of lots of people wanting more, watching it over and over, waiting impatiently for the DVD for continual replaying and referencing.

A combination of the charismatic lead actors Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, the way director Todd Haynes structures the delivery of the story, the sort of lines and scenes constructed by screenwriter Phyllis Nagy, the musical score by Carter Burwell -and of course the original story created by Patricia Highsmith. With all these players converging around a love story the chemistry between Cate and Rooney had to be credible enough to make audiences swoon, be entranced and hooked into this story in a way that few movies achieve. Cate Blanchett alone is a Class A drug. With Rooney Mara's irresistible cuteness as a counterforce the onscreen relationship entered the realm of the deep and meaningful we all so truly desire. When the real world fails to deliver, books and movies serve to keep us believing.

Fan mania over the Carol movie and its stars has flowed over extensively into social media with endless tribute pages, blogs and posts on sites including Tumblr, You Tube, Facebook and in chat forums.

Though every year Neptune and the Sun will be in exact conjunction on one day, the energy of Neptune strengthened in 2012 and continued in the years 2013, 2014, 2015, and again in 2016 will be conjunct the Sun while in Pisces.
This effect will continue once annually until early 2025, with most of the Sun-Neptune in Pisces conjunctions occurring in March -starting from March 4 2018.
Pisces is the zodiac sign carrying the themes related to Neptune in the earthly, solar system & universal total environment so when these two carrier energies merge there is an accentuation of all things related to water.
 Though floods, heavy rainfall will occur under a range of Neptune and Pisces situations, the alignment of Neptune with the Sun when both are in Pisces is a recurrent reliable indicator that some form of deluge or flooding is to be anticipated.

In 2016 the end of February is indicated - with 28th-29th easily being a starting point for diverse and significant global water events.
The bigger pattern involves what other planets are doing at that time.
At the end of February, leading into March 2016 the lineup is as follows:
Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, Mercury
the planets occupy the degree positions in sequence:
16, 17,18, 19, 20
This means that 5 planets will operate in a domino effect, the energy conjoining and leapfrogging, all the while growing and amplifying.
Environmental outcomes involving natural forces are the most likely observable conditions arising.

Feb 26 forecast hits the spot:

Rain and flooding events have been reported but most interesting so far:
Spectacularly massive surf and swells at Waimea Bay Hawaii closed some roads and beaches but made for an incredible Big Wave surf event. Two giant sea swells had moved through the Hawaiian Islands.
Surfers were quick to document this.

Large sea swells/high surf were also recorded on Australia's east coast and US west coast -this confirms a significant theme of the Sun-Neptune event.
Noting as well that there was no amplifying lunar event in effect -last full moon being Feb 22 and next New Moon not till March 9. Both of these lunar phases pull the tides to higher and lower extremes compared to normal. 
The other big influence is proximity of the lunar orbit to earth = perigee which also raises tides versus apogee which lowers tides. In Feb 2016 perigee was Feb 11, apogee was Feb 27 -so at the time when the sea level ought to be lowest, these big swells occurred. It has to be the Sun-Neptune effect.

But people and their inner world are not immune.
An intense, highly sensitized effect from Sun-Neptune in Pisces will impact those particularly born late February, late May, late August, late November -any year.
Adding in the 5 planet dominoes - can raise the mental/emotional stress levels.
Here the water arises as copious tears.
Toxic/addictive substances are a higher risk for people in general at this time: alcohol, drugs, pharmaceuticals, poisonous plants or foods

Saturn-Jupiter in March 2016 
When Saturn in Sagittarius is at 90 degrees right angle to Jupiter in Virgo expect lots of job losses, mass layoffs.
The early warning signs of this started emerging as early as mid February 2016 in New Zealand -the latest example:
February 25: longstanding Australian tech retailer sheds around 400 staff in New Zealand

 and: the Australian chain has announced the same in Australia -losing thousands of jobs. The greed of modern capitalism is the cause according to original founder Dick Smith.

The late March exact Saturn-Jupiter effect will not abate quickly: the degree of momentum behind this curtailing energy - as already forecast in China and World economy forecast - this is a blatant indicator of the world economy in crisis.
Expect February, March, April, May, June 2016 to set in place conditions that cause shudders through the global employment statistics, with layoffs announced in many sectors.

Official stats for the period of recent decades show some patterns of great interest to an astrologer and because there are differences in the NZ data versus that of other countries.

Animal species have much more specific breeding cycles than humankind.

In effect, most women have the choice to plan a pregnancy or to just roll the dice and see what happens. Under these supposedly more random conditions the results are actually not random at all.

NZ stats show that most birthdays in the data period occurred in September

• only one of the Top 10 most popular birthdates was in October – October 1^st

• This Top 10 was squeezed into a fortnight from 19 September-October 1^st

and

• The Top 20 occurred within the 4 weeks September 16-October 14

• The Top 21-30 places were also all spread over September-October

A very statistically significant pattern
So New Zealand is loaded with Virgos and Libras.

Does this obviously mean most Kiwi women conceive in the mid December-mid January period which is mostly Summer Vacation time?

The urge to sexually reproduce, mate, conceive is stimulated by planets in the zodiac sign Scorpio and when the energies of Venus, Mars and Pluto are prominent – so more people will feel more sexy during these periods.

The Sun is the dominant force affecting Earth because we are in orbit around it and we are part of the massive solar system network involving many other planetary influences that Earth cannot avoid.

The Sun is approximately in the same position in its cycle year after year so we know in mid December the athletic, outdoorsy, sporty Sagittarius energy is being emphasised through the Sun's position.

A few days before Christmas, the Sun moves into the sector in space associated with the sign Capricorn – and is there for the period through January until the 3^rd week.

Capricorn is earthy, grunty energy, basic & goaty -more neolithic caveman versus the toned Sagittarian gym bunny – but both are suitable enough to stimulate romping in the hay, the sand, under the trees... you get it.

Feb 29 is automatically the least ranked due to it occurring only in Leap Years

US data from 1973-1999 also found September to be the most common birthday month
so late December or January is likely to be main conception time = Capricorn, with also the November-December period = Scorpio and Sagittarius influences upon the sex drive.
Top September birthdays in the US = the 16^th, 9^th & 23^rd

The biggest spread of birthdays covered July, August and September, with July the lesser of those 3.

This means most US births are in the northern summer period.

The signs Cancer Leo and Virgo operate in this 3 month period .

Their polarities Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces are also evoked.

Cancer is family values, Leo is the entertainment industry

In the UK, data for live births 1992-2013 favours July for most birthdates -also summertime.
July is Cancer -family and tradition are strong values with Leo beginning in the 3rd week - the entertainment industry.

Although July did not come out on top in every year it was either 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd in 20 out of the 22 years of data.
The only year that July slipped out of the top 5 rankings for numbers born that month was in 2012, when it came 6th
The only other months to rank repeatedly in the top 3 were May, August, September, October -but they only featured in 9,10,12, 11 times respectively -way less significant than the high scoring July at 20 times.
Therefore In the UK the favourite conception time is October - the going indoors time, when Autumn in underway - in order to produce so many July births.
The October mix of partnership time [Libra] and sex hormones [Scorpio] proving too heady for the Brits to resist.

But he most definite UK data relates to the month of February.

February produced the least live births in the UK in all 22 years calculated, differing from 5,000 to 10,000 compared to the number in the top ranked month.
