One major value of astrology lies in offering indicators of past events in reference to major planetary signifiers -and how their later resonance points can be matched.

In 2022 with the decision of Putin to take Russia into an invasion of Ukraine has stark resonance with events of the late 1930s in Europe as the foreshadowing of World War 2.

In the historic record there are literally strong resemblances between Hitler's 1938-1939 campaign to re-embrace ethnic Germans living in Bohemia and Moravia regions of Czechoslovakia and claim their land under the premise of their autonomy and what Putin has done in Ukraine

Hitler had announced the amassing of 750,000 troops for "military exercises" on August 12 1938

2022 has seen a very similar playbook evoked.

Russian troops began their buildup in the Spring of 2021 at Ukraine's borders..claiming "military exercises"

In February 2022 Putin stated

“I deem it necessary to make a decision that should have been made a long time ago – to immediately recognise the independence and sovereignty of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Luhansk People’s Republic,” Putin said.

3 days later Feb 24 it was clear that a full scale invasion was underway

From an astrological perspective the standout indicator of the resonance between these 2 periods is the transit of Pluto

Pluto was late in Cancer from 1936 until entry into Leo began in 1937 but due to retrograding did not leave Capricorn fully and enter Leo until June 1939.

The opposing position of Pluto in Capricorn at 27 degrees has been relevant since February 2022 and  in the context of the Ukraine invasion.

Pluto was at 27 Cancer multiple times in the late 1930s:  from 1935 to 1938

This whole period was marked by a buildup and release of military aggression -not only involving Germany but including Franco in Spain and Mussolini in Italy.

Far Right activism erupted in Paris in an anti government riot July 1936.

The oppression of Jews was well underway in pre-war 1930s Europe.

The Cardinal quartet Aries Libra Cancer Capricorn is very much about State family homeland as well as the war and peace energies evoked in the protection and possession of those concepts. 

This combination of energies clearly identifies the state of affairs both in late 1930s Europe and early 2020s Europe.

With Uranus in Taurus in both eras the fixed signs Taurus Scorpio Leo Aquarius are all evoked - land territory power dominance - values around freedom and society.

The Saturn in Aries periods [1937-1940  2026-2028 ] pose the question around the late 2020s in terms of further vulnerability to aggression and war between nation states.

War: the latest shove towards World Economy Restructuring

 

The underlying layer of the global pandemic has been reinforced in February 2022 by Russia's decision by President Putin to fully invade Ukraine.

The economic consequences of Covid-19 are now strongly at risk of being significantly amplified by the restructuring of the global economy [Pluto in Capricorn] within the context and consequences of war. 

Though currently the physical activity of war is being played out within Ukraine involving Russian invaders and Ukrainian defenders the involvement of significant global networks and nation states has quickly entered the frame through not only overwhelming support for Ukraine from the international community - this support in itself is tantamount to entering the war from the Kremlin's perspective.

Retaliative payback for especially the economic damage inflicted by primarily Western democracies is a high potential scenario within the long as well as short-term outlook.

Given this context of political conflict [Venus-Mars-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn] the potentials of several patterns unfolding in March and April - with extended relevance due to the end of April Taurus eclipse - can be interpreted as having significant economic financial monetary market consequences.

The combining of Pisces factors with Uranus and an eclipse in Taurus stand out due to the dissolving weakening influence of water -so much Pisces in the energy field -as well as Pisces contagion potential within market trading environments.

In addition the Cardinal energies -all 4 are strongly evoked with Venus [Libra] Mars [Aries] both joining Pluto in Capricorn.

Not only is this the peace-war spectrum but also the structure of the global economy - which so far under Pluto has evaded the necessary restructuring......and there's not many degrees or much time before Pluto is supposed to have done its job.

2022 looks like the strongest contender for this process to begin due to the energies of March-April 2022. 

After the intensity at the beginning of March - the New Moon period - April is when Pluto's most significant activity begins with the square to the Aries Sun April 18 = slowdown begins = intensification approaching the Retrograde station at the end of April solar eclipse in Taurus. 

Pluto at end of April is closest to Earth during its cycle and extra potent until May 11.

The new context for Pluto is the Sun being in Taurus since April 20 and Uranus conjuncting the Sun on May 5.

The mid May lunar eclipse activates Taurus and Scorpio with Saturn and Neptune having strong influences.

These energies in May point to the extension of issues around money provided by the money and power eclipses of April-May.

 February 2022 has witnessed since the 24th a progressive invasion of Ukraine by Russia under direction of President Putin.

The world at large has responded within the context of Sun Jupiter Neptune in Pisces with considerable support and compassion. This protective energy resonates with the inherent beneficial placement of Jupiter in Ukraine's natal chart of 24 August 1991.

18.5 ♒️ is significant for Putin - his north node - which is conjuncted by transiting Saturn in the final days of February 2022 and still effective early in March -reflecting a destiny-seeking level of control of [a] society.

His elevated Pluto at 22'43 Leo opposes the people of Ukraine directly [Moon 22'23 Aquarius]. It is an obsession to bring Ukraine under his control.

Transit Saturn -and Mars oppose Putin's Pluto early in April which will intensify both his drive to succeed in the submission of Ukraine but will also reflect the stamina of the local population in pushing back against Putin's Pluto.

This is a tough one to call where strong conflict produces equally determined opposing forces but the role of the international goodwill could be the deciding factor in turning the tide in favour of Ukraine at that point.

reveals the buildup of planets in primarily 3 signs which creates a huge quantity of energy in a limited space - which is a recipe for an intensity of forces creating disorder and disharmony in the energy fields impacted.

FEBRUARY-MARCH-APRIL 2022 “The threat of invasion and attack”

 “The threat of invasion and attack”

The threat of invasion and attack being currently [February 2022] applied to the situation faced by the nation of Ukraine under military duress from neighbouring Russia can be seen as applicable to the world at large within the larger shared collective experience of the coronavirus pandemic since 2020.

We know the Jupiter –Saturn conjunction of December 2020 holds long-term significance as a new cycle in social as well as political developments and that in the context of the pandemic - this conjunction being in Aquarius - huge impacts have occurred as a result of the restraints on social activity – as well as from the easing up of social distancing. 

Threat and invasion of the biological kind have manifested in numerous global locations from early in 2020 – though the early signs of the pandemic inception can be said to have predated the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction by at least a year so this story of threat and invasion clearly has a fundamental driver that carries the overall themes intensely.

Pluto strongly resonates with the archetype of the threat-bearing invader the Intimidator –and [due to Capricorn's resonance with Saturn] during the period of Saturn in Aquarius the Plutonic energy has crystalised into groups who both feel intimidated [and protest about that] – and who subsequently intimidate others in a knee jerk response.

 

Late in 2019 when the coronavirus was developing and spreading undetected Saturn in Capricorn began closing in on Pluto [sitting at 22 Capricorn at the start of 2020] – just as Jupiter was set to begin its relatively short period in Capricorn –but would play an important role in adding to the structural shifts within societies managed by national governments in response to the pandemic – under the influence of the Pluto-Saturn exact conjunction in Capricorn - occurring January 2020 - effectively this was the first big power duo of 2020 – followed in December when Jupiter and Saturn at 29 degrees came within half a degree of also being conjunct in Capricorn – just prior to their 0 Aquarius conjunction. Both positions accrue a potency of manifestation at the end and the beginning of the shift in signs.

By late 2020 the Capricorn emphasis on controls restrictions rules coming from this gathering of Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto was enormous and unprecedented outside of wartime conditions.

Once the new year 2021 opened in the Sun’s Capricorn period of January only Pluto –longterm in Capricorn - was there to sustain the impetus of an enhanced level of state management with regulations applied to many facets of everyday life. 

Astronomical designations of Pluto [small and less dominant therefore a “dwarf”] count for nothing in the context of astrological observation of the “threat-bearing invader” but every energy requires a context in which to manifest and without certain co-factors functioning like chemical catalysts to create the alchemy of manifestation even a potent planetary energy can seem dormant for long periods if our inner processes are discounted. 

Working silently secretly covertly is especially relevant for Pluto and retrograde periods in particular are cyclic periods when the cosmos infuses us on Earth at the most subtle level of mind - delivering deep transmission when a planet passes closer to Earth - affecting collective global local and personal energy fields in ways that enable both processing by our human brain and if delivered into consciousness the intention to prepare for or plan our personal outward (worldly) expression of the cosmic vibratory imprint dispersed into collective consciousness during retrograde.

Pluto was retrograde in Capricorn (26’48) from 27 April 2021 until October 6 2021 (24’18) station Direct.

After the direct station Pluto reaches a critical position when it is strongly activated by the exact square to the Sun. [astronomical Western Quadrature which applies to planets from Jupiter outwards when at a square to the Sun after going Direct]

The Sun applying a square to Pluto occurs on April 18 2022.

At this point of intensity clarity around the full Cardinal significance of Pluto in Capricorn is revealed and the way that this combination speaks of “threat of invasion and attack”.

The interpretation of all zodiac signs is incomplete without reference to their modality grouping – cardinal fixed or mutable.

Cardinal Capricorn additionally evokes Cancer Aries and Libra because that is the workings of a quadrupolar magnetic field: the energy structure allows for variable flow within the polar directions.

Applying science to astrology simply validates it if you know where to look.

The prelude to this square from the Sun is the unusually long buildup of energy brought by a new player in this multi-phase drama – Venus in Capricorn since early November 2021 then conjuncted Pluto before mid December and then stationed retrograde allowing for a second conjunction with Pluto the day after Christmas.

Venus remained close to Earth retrograding in Capricorn until 29 January 2022 direct station – just after – from stage right – Mars adorned now in Capricorn costume came into view.

Venus is inherently Libra and Mars inherently Aries in the Cardinal quartet so a buildup of Cardinal energy within the closest to Earth planets is also underway by the end of January 2022. The mix of soft power and brute force is added to Pluto’s version of Capricorn control and management - including the global political mood.

16 Feb 2022 chart set for London 3pm: Venus conjunct Mars 16'53 Capricorn.

The midpoint of Venus-Mars-Pluto is around 22 Capricorn in tight sextile to Neptune. The Sun is tightly semisextile Pluto  -both aspecting the nodes. The Saturn-Sun midpoint is also around 22 degrees strengthening the semi-sextile to Venus-Mars-Pluto. Jupiter sextiles Uranus. Moon squares the nodal axis. This chart captures most of the themes noted in the overall consideration of the Feb-March-April 2022 period and suggests that entrenched energies of rebellion against governments are set to endure for as long as key factors in the chart keep being reactivated. Saturn will not leave Aquarius until March 2023 but enters its slowdown in May 2022 and retrograde station in June and will emerge full direct at the square to Sun in November 2022. Pluto slows down in April in advance of Retrograde in April and is fully out of slow-mode in October 2022. For both energies this May-November period will diminish to a degree the overt potency in terms of outwards expression and will feature more reflection assessment behind the scenes strategising re the power battles surrounding power authority rights and responsibilities

The significance of Venus and Mars in Capricorn begins to arise after their conjunction on 16 February 2022 UTC 3pm London.

These 2 planets evoking in unison soft and brute force power are hand in hand unusually for weeks and even in the approach to the conjunction were manifesting as high level state to state negotiations around a perception of threatened invasion and attack involving Russia entering Ukraine – as well as in much smaller confrontations in various African nations and those posed by protest convoys and occupations in diverse global locations - all having to meet some form of response from authorities and/or the political system. 

Stalemates logjams and little to no movement has been the theme in these coinciding global events which fall under the influence of both Saturn and Uranus while Venus and Mars are in Capricorn and Saturn is in Aquarius. The polarised positions are accordingly very clear when control for the sake of the collective good is challenged by poorly conceived versions of freedom or when a nation state's independence is threatened by an agenda of restriction imposed by a more powerful nation.

The weeks-long handholding of Venus and Mars potentised by being in Capricorn at a time when Saturn and Uranus energies are so polarised suggests that a very drawn out power struggle is likely in the various contexts and locations where this standoff energy is manifesting in February 2022 because in the case of occupation-style protests - both the authorised government and some unauthorised groups of individuals want to control the narrative and make the rules. This cannot work in pandemic conditions – just as in wartime – a collective approach is needed. But - as in war – traitors exist – those who would betray resist and undermine the majority due to assessing personal needs as paramount during an enduring global period of challenge.  [ Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn both have the power struggle theme when aggravated. ] Unfortunately for any government - when they are handing out support and subsidies to those assessed as most disadvantaged during the pandemic -the government is seen as good kind caring -but when rules and restrictions endure past the point of their tolerance those citizens most prone to feeling disempowered by tough parenting tend to then see the government as a brutal evil force a bunch of Nazis. It seems that this emotionally wounded percentage of many global populations has grown compared to past decades - leading to a greater loss of the notion of collective protection. Now it's more important for this sector to have freedom than protect people from death or severe health consequences as the result of a pandemic..or to be able to travel at high speed in locations where it seems logical to reduce road deaths through less speed.

March 2022 is when matters have potential to really intensify when the still-velcroed-together Venus and Mars catch up with Pluto at the rather relevant New Moon – signifying some new level has been reach or new phase beginning in the use of authority to manage behaviour.

The authorised enforcers in New Zealand –the Police – have been riding a pendulum between soft and tough –while avoiding the most extreme ends of the spectrum – but the Anti-Mandate sector and lichen issues that have become bonded with this core grievance have stitched together a copycat of overseas protests with very fixed determination to go the long haul waiting for the angelic Prime Minister Ardern to present herself for a virtual lynching. The Plutonic energy is very ugly in this demonstration of disempowerment seeking revenge.

  

The early March close conjunction of Venus Mars and Pluto in Capricorn while Saturn conjuncts Mercury in Aquarius suggests hardline action against rebels anarchists non-compliant citizens if they cannot take the adult option within the context of the pandemic and accept a denial of self temporarily in order to benefit the whole group longterm.

Jupiter – after sextiling Uranus late in February -  conjuncts the early March Pisces New Moon which will capture significantly more people in the energy of coronavirus contagion than have accumulated during February.

Viral energy –whether microbial and debilitating for the body or from online memes and themes affecting the mind - is far from being the most sublime version of Pisces energy – but this is where humanity at large is at during the pandemic crisis – very vulnerable to dissipation of the body and delusions of the mind. 

Events of week one March will give hints regarding developments to follow in March and April 2022.

               When retrograde: a planet passes closest to Earth

Venus having just emerged from Retrograde late in January conforms to the inner planet astronomical position called Greatest Western Elongation - occurring after the Direct station. This angle is a semisquare from the Sun to Venus and it occurs astronomically on 20/21 March 2022 dependent upon observer time zone location. The elongation angle is variable up to a degree so a perfect exact 45 angle is not always created.

Around the start of week 4 in March as the Sun leaves Pisces for Aries and Venus in Aquarius is in a conflicted position with the incoming solar emphasis on Mars in Aquarius while Saturn too is in that sign, very much a peace versus war range of opinions and the state still has the role of managing groups and social activities to some degree in some locations. Venus and Mars both have to deal with the confrontation coming from Saturn when each passes 21-22 Aquarius – late March-early April and this suggests there will still be examples of government restrictions on gatherings related to the pandemic in some locations globally.

The context for what happens when Pluto reaches its Western Quadrature which is square the Aries Sun on 18 April depends a lot on the events preceding – remembering that Aries Libra Cancer and Capricorn energies are all evoked through Pluto while in Capricorn - and in evidence by the Capricorn intensity [Pluto Saturn and Jupiter all located there for varying durations ] of the pandemic years so both diplomacy or mediation and war or conflict energies are in the mix and governments have an in loco parentis role requiring that they protect their citizen family.

Use this template for Jupiter to apply the same process to Pluto -Pluto was at East qu in April 2021 stationary Retrograde in April 2021, retrograde opposite the Sun in July 2021 and was stationary Direct in October 2021, reaching West Qu. in April 2022. 

The total time frame for Pluto April 2021-April 2022 represents the full slow-down period of stronger transmission of the Plutonic energy field at a more subconscious level.

Conflict zones are readily activated during the Aries part of the solar cycle and Mars in Aquarius gives fuel to groups mobs gangs regiments troops –especially groups of Men as well as Mars-oriented women –a pattern holding till mid April –but April week one is important for this combination to see various versions of the group energy in Aquarius and the tone of expressions from those at any level of authority in dealing with groups when Saturn joins Mars and the Taurus-Scorpio Nodes are squared. 

Power struggle/conflict and control energy are in this pattern too.

April is also big due to the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces affecting the whole month because both are spreaders so their midpoint will resonate and their orb of influence wider than usual.

The first likelihood aside from lots of elemental water –rains at deluge level, big seas  tides/waves incoming, flooding from any source. Humanity is not awakened enough to collectively take optimum advantage of this sublime combination –a few will benefit immensely from transcendent magical spiritual or divine experiences. Great also for film-makers photographers and light magic but not good for containing viral spread –physical and mental delusions – great levels of contagion and mental detachment from physical or rational reality are amongst the high ranking potentials. Mental confusion inflated unreal ideas are likely to permeate minds that are vulnerable. If there is a sector of humanity placed in extreme peril in April then there is equally intense capacity for a high level compassionate response.

Mass movements of people can accompany a Jupiter in mutable conjunction. Evacuations homelessness on a large scale due to either disruptive environmental or social-political conditions are also possible. This energy flows into early May and is amplified by the late April Taurus solar eclipse which - with Uranus attached -will potentise Jupiter at 27 Pisces. 

Both the condition of the land and material forms objects money subject to sudden change or  reversals. Land slipping dissolving money disappearing. A large scale significance in both contexts.

Being aware of the potential for some challenges of potential personal local national or international /collective human relevance that are capable of arising under the energies accumulating in February-March-April 2022 allows for some proactive mitigating or precautionary choices in contexts where any or several of those factors could apply.

Ultimately under Pluto and Uranus energies the trajectory is an evolutionary one for humanity –on the level of awareness increasing and awakened consciousness regarding our need to honour our common humanity - and  find ways to exist in greater harmony - as well as identifying less with the separate Egoic perspective - a false perception that underlies conflict competition and disharmony.

The Cardinal energies have an underlying theme of necessary balancing in the context of relating. 

The Fixed energies have a balancing role around resources and power. Mutables require a balancing of mind. 

All are needed in this era in order to move out of the regressive period with clearer insight into the way ahead as a world citizen temporarily occupying a living planet.

Neptune's power in 2022

 Neptune has been carrying considerable potency since the station direct occurred on December 1 2021 accompanied by a tight trine to Mars in Scorpio = very energized heated water molecules.

This chart from astro.com gives a different timing for the entry point into Direct for Neptune using Universal Time compared to the American Ephemeris giving 10.40am Ephemeris Time. The wide disparity is puzzling but the main issue is the planetary links.

The Sun-Neptune trine is supported by sextiles to Venus. In my past observations of severe weather Venus can be seen to feature occasionally and to a lesser degree in powerful patterns but its role is not as readily understand compared to the Mars to Pluto energies - as detailed in my dedicated Extreme Weather post on this site 

What is clear early in 2022 is that Neptune paired with Mars is driving a lot of patterns that involve water plus heat.

What is clear is that an initial pattern can be reinforced/sustained/extended when extra planetary energy is added into the mix. 

It is already clear that any of the planets from Mars to Pluto can fulfill this role but also the Sun and a relevant [in range] lunation especially when a New or full moon is also an eclipse. 

The December station of Neptune was within range of the December 4 total solar eclipse so through that event there is a big extra energy source added in.

Later aspects to that eclipse also active the whole mixture of eclipse plus stationing energy. This means in 2022 Jupiter at 12 Pisces [February week 4] Jupiter squares the Dec 4 solar eclipse. Mars conjuncted it at the end of December 2021.

But Jupiter is not the only big player to be stirring things up after the Neptune-Eclipse combo in early December.

The 12 Sagittarius solar eclipse is activated by 27 Cardinal and this is the big story- primarily featuring Pluto in Capricorn [great destroyer of structures when in an aggravated state such as a square or semisquare]

Pluto moved ever closer to 27 degrees from mid January 2022 and hits exact semisquare the eclipse degree 12'22 when at 27'22 in week 2 February with at least a week's potency still in process just before Jupiter squares the eclipse degree in week 4.

Week 1 of March has the unusually sustained Venus-Mars conjunction merging with Pluto.

Not only does this triple mixture in Capricorn have major social-economic political consequences [as detailed in this dedicated post] on this site but it is also capable of producing some mega-intense weather -also due to the transit of Jupiter being in such tight conjunction to the 12 degree Pisces New Moon as March begins.

In matching what Western astrology can identify for 2022 - Chinese divination sees all years ending in 2 and 3 as Water years and one clear reading of this involves the water element in all forms.

Although this post looks specifically at the elemental aspect of Neptune - the dissolving of material structures and forms through flooding is supportive of Uranus' transit through Taurus and we see Jupiter in Pisces sextile Uranus in Taurus through the second half of February 2022.

Venus Mars Pluto -the Capricorn triple synergy at March New Moon 2022

 Today my astro-neurons fired when I read a reference to:

the economy overheating

I pulled up a sequence of latest bulletins when I saw this was a zeitgeist:

and the players in this are immediately clear and worth noting.

Economy is one of those old Capricornian concepts and Venus is the physical/material manifestations of money/cash/assets.

Venus has been in Capricorn since Nov 5 2021 [London time]

Heating has a strong association with Mars. 

Mars has brought further heat into the global economy once it entered Capricorn on January 24 2022.

Overheating is a combination of Jupiter added to Mars and this occurs by sextile on February 4 2022

So it seems likely that energies are locked into this pattern by February 4 - a week after Venus reached a return to Direct -outward emphasis - and soon to be pursued by a now pumped-up Mars running at a hotter temperature - and the pair reach their exact conjunction - on February 18 2022...but this isn't the end point - the 2 are so closely magnetically bound at a subatomic level during February 2022 that they maintain a very unusual long duration synergy in Capricorn for weeks.

The force field of these two begins its build up at the very least by the point of one degree of separation - February 12 - and lasts - with tight close contact - into March - week one - when the capacity for implosion/explosion nuclear-grade fallout has high potential. This will be a bit of a shocker in various contexts - but equally intensely structural in others. Personal and collective resonances always factor into which way the energy morphs into manifestation. The Capricorn conjunction shifts from dual to triple in week one of March and that's much more manageable if you're going with the flow of late Capricorn by conjunction trine or sextile to your own energy points in Capricorn Earth or Water signs - but late Libra Aries and late Cancer have much more of a challenge to their level of unfoldment during this Earth stay.

On a collective level we know that the political restructuring of economies is still long overdue - because Pluto [long in Capricorn] has not yet executed the primary job of fundamental economic restructuring from the ground upwards. Why? Because this isn't a process that those invested in the system will welcome - so there's no overwhelming collective will amongst them or the billions who benefit from the status quo. 

But come it eventually will... and in March 2022 when Pluto approaches 28 Capricorn we know the Capricorn effects must be set in place at a structural level: it's not long till 30 degrees Capricorn manifests as 0 degrees Aquarius - that transitory point is reached in 2023 and completed in 2024. The clock is ticking loudly in the countdown so expect some more wheels to start falling off in 2022 [ assisted by the other nuclear force -Uranus in Taurus]

Whether or not a major signifier of structural economic change being underway is signalled in March  [in advance of another buildup of energy ] or outrightly occurs in March - the energy of change is clearly in process and very due for the dominoes to fall. 

Covid has clearly been part of the Capricornian reformation and begun to undermine the structure of the world as the West has known it -as well as in other non-western nations pursuing the same cancerous mantras of greed and endless growth. 

An additional global event in the same time frame - such as military conflict or a market downturn would be hugely wounding for the economic system of multiple nations. 

[update February 28 2022: Russian President Putin ordered the systemic invasion of Ukraine on February 24 under the guises of "peace-keeping" and "military operation" ]

March 2022 sees Venus quickly get to 26'29 Capricorn [March 2] - Venus is now fully "out of shadow" of the retrograde as it repeats the degree point at the December full moon when this planet went stationary retrograde. Pluto was a degree away then -at 25'32 Capricorn.

On March 3... boom! Venus Mars and Pluto all cluster in the 27th degree of Capricorn. 

This chart for London compared to New York when Venus-Mars-Pluto are in range of most intense -as well as a big buildup in Pisces and Saturn conjunct Mercury.

Note that all this occurs under the seeding energy of the Pisces New Moon [London early evening on March 2 at 12 Pisces] so Neptune has a big influence

For London: 2 fire energies - Mars and the Sun activate the main axes. Mars with the Venus-Pluto synergy and Sun has Jupiter conjunct.

Uranus is most elevated.

The Pisces bubble has some intensity too with the Sun-Moon midpoint being the same as the Jupiter-Neptune midpoint. These 4 big-hitters all sit in the 8th and have a reflex effect directly into the 2nd - money/assets

Maximum Neptune is in the room -whatever/wherever.

When Neptune is good it's very good. When its bad its very bad and this pileup has both extremes on offer: transcendental bliss the experience of spiritual connection of Oneness peace joy -great empathy compassion and service to humanity - versus mental overload confusion incoherence - whether substance-related or not the spirit in a bottle or in a mid-altering chemical can deliver very similar cognitive wipeouts. Delusion re a divine mission is another option on the table -and this misread devotion has inspired great carnage in human history as we know. 

In the London chart Venus-Mars-Pluto are triple squaring the Aries axis very tightly so Mars is doubly involved in an Aries versus Capricorn conflict. Speed and aggresion versus slow caution - both will be on offer

If Covid is a big factor in your location at the time of the March 2-March 3 New Moon the Pisces energy is enlarged in a way that corresponds to spread of contagion which will make restrictions distancing and isolation more necessary again.

If the pandemic or some other infectious outbreak is not in your location then the Neptunian energies have the capacity to morph into a different expression as indicated during this post.

For New York: Mercury and Uranus activate the main axes. If Saturn is taken for Aquarius then the 2 axis rulers are conjunct and most elevated.
Taken for the equivalent time the layout instead offers an 11th-5th house polarity for the Pisces planets but the layout is very external and public.

The US Pluto return is underway having reached exact in February 2022 at 27'33 Capricorn. 

With the Ukraine situation intensifying the potential here is military engagement unfolding with economic consequences. The Pisces energy can manifest as "divine mission" "on behalf of humanity".

The Pisces energy has globally manifested already as "collective compassion" for the people of Ukraine being held under seige or compelled to seek refuge in neighbouring nations

the New Moon chart for the city of Kiev Ukraine is added to show the buildup of planets in Capricorn Aquarius and Pisces - the total solar system bounded within  the axis of the moons nodes. This type of accumulation is regarded as having extreme potentials.

Impacts upon homes families and the nation state as a whole are signified by the Capricorn trio but Jupiter's protective capacity is also significant

Given the right context the intense Capricorn synergy can lead to a quadrupolar Cardinal outpouring through Capricorn Cancer Aries and Libra. expressions. 

The 9th house referencing offshore overseas places of relevance.

So too the Pisces mutable group is all potentially evoked - Virgo Gemini Sagittarius all signifiers of where the Neptunian energy may focus - work/employment/movements of people and foreign lands

There is sober-mindedness with Saturn conjuct Mercury. 

Serious communications. 

Aside from overheated markets and overheated political leaders [both with potentials for economic suppression]  with the full buildup of energies considered in March the aftermath comes late March into april when Venus passes in conjunction with Saturn in Aquarius then Mars does the same. This is when social economic deprivation has a point of intensification and by late march into April the Sun in Aries gives the Mars-Saturn Conjunction extra weight. Frustration/anger re social restrictions re contact being limited.

Pisces returns to prominence in April with the exact conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune  -again bringing that potential for extremes as noted above re Pisces expressions. 

Elementally lots of water from pots of sources in lots of places.

In terms of state of mind/consciousness -very much with the programme or off the planet in a non-coping way. 

Such a strong emphasis is likely to see mass movement = evacuation relocation of people due to the powerful flowing river and big tide energy of the mutable planets and the mass scale indications of Jupiter.

update February 28 2022:

The tide of humanity is already flowing out of Ukraine. An event causing such a mass movement was anticipated as well as military activity. Sadly Ukraine has become the location for both energies to already be expressing. Compassion - globally - is being strongly expressed

Humanity is not ready for an en masse shift in consciousness to an elevated spiritual level so only a few will be blessed to have that on offer: escaping the delusions and illusions that apply in the Saturnian dimension of earth life and being able to see clearly what is real beyond the sensory layer. 

Nice paradoxes in the engagement of Saturn-Neptune in both contexts.

Aside from the political and collective of course these energies have real life applications for individuals.

All us us will experience this buildup of 3 sets of planets and probably sequentially in 3 houses -which is a signifier of developmental energy flowing from late Capricorn through Aquarius and to late Pisces. Potentially 3 houses revealing a theme that Captures both the sign and the house energies. And with lots of scope for exciting growth ready to be plucked - if you can reach for that.

Astrology answers: What is Being Asked of Me?

 What is being asked of me?

This question isn’t reserved for a few. It applies to everyone. All of us have made the deal to experience life in physical form and that deal comes with conditions.

Earthly life isn’t a free ride for anyone. We’re all here to bear a responsibility and that responsibility involves decoding an individualised set of instructions that aren’t written in your primary language.

The responsibility is what you can do to contribute to the betterment of the whole.

Where you carry out that responsibility is designated: it may be within a family a community a city or region. It may be related to a whole country or the world in general. Ultimately the responsibility carried out -or not - connects to the entire field of consciousness that permeates the Universe - our home base - while this little Earth is a temporary place of residence for learning by experience.

Because the instructions aren’t readily accessible the ordinary path is to live life in a way that may be totally disconnected from the mission.

It is a swifter easier process if you discover that you’re able to intuit the most authentic way to fullfil your part of the deal. There’s far less struggle frustration and discontent.

Those who really miss the signs and signals or choose to keep ignoring them cannot evade the relentless pressure: it’s the deal. 

Life will not deliver for you if you don’t deliver for Life.

We are all at some points novices or initiates in the art of living in the physical dimension of Earth. This isn’t our natural state of being. A lot of adjustment is needed to manage the requirements of living in the world because everything is totally opposite to the conditions of existence when not in physical form - where we began and where we will return to each time we die.

Understandably the Buddhist view is that Life is Suffering - though that can be explained further by seeing that attachment to the qualities and experiences of physical life - people things careers etc will ultimately and reliably bring about suffering pain loss -on account of that other concept - illusion - the mistaken belief that things people life in general have a permanence to them. 

Understanding impermanence and change as part of the deal is therefore another necessity to lessen pain and suffering.

The paradox is that we need to conform and adapt to the most structured earthy material conditions of experience in order to learn about the least physical dimension. The most meaningful eternal realities that are inherent and permeate everything - fields of information/patterns of waves that constitute what is termed the realm of spirit or energy - the vast dimension - exists mostly unseen - but is detectable while existing in physical form.

Mystics and prophets since the first humans emerged have been able to consciously enter other domains but it is not only their capacity. It lies within all of us the ability to shift our consciousness and awareness towards the flow of life - energy itself - when still quiet and present. Trees clouds wind fire the sea are all simple ways to begin becoming One with the underlying energy those natural forms and elements express so directly.

The more opening that is made to this other level the more direct realisation of “what is being asked of me?” Some are able to achieve this while still in childhood. Others still struggle during their last decade. The right time to begin is always now.

My knowledge of astrology has enabled me to cross-connect the role of this body of knowledge with the wisdom found in spiritual philosophy.

Thousands of years ago civilizations were able to tune into the meaning and significance of the planetary cycles they were able to witness -in addition to the primary recognition of what arises in the cycle of the Sun and Moon in their paired relationship.

Eventually in Western civilizations men of the Church determined that their interpretations both of original spiritual teachings and those pertaining to the cosmos were superior to anything that had gone before and so great wisdom and great knowledge was either lost or suppressed. 

In Eastern cultures the essence has been able to survive despite similar challenges in different eras. Now for many decades there has been a blending of wisdom - East with West West with East -as it should be -a return to a whole mind perspective.

Both East and West utilise the study of the stars. Every culture on the planet has done this and many have never lost it. In defiance of centuries of suppression and ignorance a Western strong revival of scholarly and professional astrology is underway  - but not without challenge from people who have intensely angry opinions about delusions they have manufactured in their own mind. Their choice. They are choosing to be modern era dinosaurs who are battling a powerful incoming tide called holism

Astrology has had some tough times due to being misrepresented as a simplistic method of fortune telling and as we know mud sticks - so the idea of astrology is set in many people’s minds as a very trivial type of pursuit. Dead wrong. It is an incredibly complex study of energy - in varying forms - assigned to each of the planets plus our solar system’s source of all life - Sun - and our local Moon [which serves to reflect varying portions of  solar light] - most of this study of the cosmos has occurred over thousands of years of observation. The more recent periods of research surround 3 outer planets and one asteroid discovered through the telescope rather than the human eye - the oldest modern era discovery being Uranus 240 years ago and the most recent the asteroid Chiron in the 1970s.

The names of planets and their mythology rooted in ancient Greek culture are a specialty for many astrologers due to the psychological archetypes that are resonant with the energy that is manifested by a planet when known to be in a significant period of activation e.g. of a person or place.

This means a lot of deep intuitive attunment was involved right from the beginning in relating to the cosmos and this quality has endured right to now and will continue. Those who named each planet had this gift and those observers and researchers who dedicate lives to knowing more and more also are capable of that direct insight.

When a person’s chart is created from the data of their birth time date and place we can ask “What is being asked of this person?” “What responsibility can they take on to contribute to the betterment of the Whole?”

These are the requirements we associate with the planet Saturn -the sort of concepts that arise when that planet is activated - and hopefully clear by now in reading to this point - that Saturn is the taskmaster energy related to living on planet Earth. 

Chinese divination using the Flying Star Lo Shu square assigns this energy as a very heavy manifestation of the Earth element but necessarily so as the Centre the hub the structural anchor around which all other life energies and elements revolve. They identify what the Western astrology calls “Saturn”energy by the number 5. 

Every planetary form Sun Moon asteroid identified can in its recognised energy expression be identified with concepts that apply to the experience of living as a physical being.

To clarify a few of the cosmic factors - fundamentally in terms of energy profiles - Saturn the primary Earth energy can clearly also be seen as the central energy moderator or manager. In relationship to another planetary energy the polarised expressions are clear.

Where Saturn expresses as contraction solidity structure -and responsibility - Jupiter which is expansion spread dispersal [and therefore has a role in carrying contagion] has a trait of freedom at all costs and therefore more prone to expressions of irresponsibility.

All through life we are confronted with the essence of being non-physical  - and many subconsciously attempt to access that realm through drugs or alcohol while struggling to live as a physical being. This involves Neptune energy -  the most unlike Saturn - the non-physical the spiritual the transcendent -as well as the escapist urge. Uranus corresponds to a sudden change of state a sudden force or disruption and therefore is an evolutionary marker. Uranus contrasts with the Saturn status quo inertia which is accumulated through stability. The energy can become stuck and needs some powerful breaking apart. Along comes Uranus energy and it disturbs or radically changes what Saturn has built and intends to sustain. Chiron shows how we experience the primal wound of separation [the first wound is separation or sense of being ejected from the nonphysical realm; the second is any resonant event in childhood that serves to intensify the first one—perceived as rejection by a parent - and how to resolve it.

The Moon indicates how we experience and express emotions.

The Sun indicates the Light within us -our inner divine-consciousness that we inherently contain and are intended to radiate.

Through examining these factors and the full range being considered the language of astrology decodes the instructions assigned to a person upon choosing a physical life experience -and therefore set in place at birth.

This is the special privilege of an astrologer and why the world needs a lot more helpers to decode.
